Joint Sports Festival Committee Room

Sayo: Schools from all over the area will be gathering for today's sports festival. I know it will be hard, but let's make it a successful one. I am counting on everyone's support.
Kasumi: We won't let you down~!
Tsugumi: Here are the time schedules for all of the schools, as well as wristbands for committee members! Please take one if you haven't already~!
Kasumi: Mmm, so the big day is finally here~!
Arisa: Jeez, you get excited over every little thing. Did you see how many people are out there? It's nuts...
Kasumi: Yeah, because it's the big sports festival! Haneoka, Tsukinomori, and so many other schools are here to play!
Kasumi: You can't expect me to stay calm with that going on~.
Tae: I'm excited too. And these gym clothes are cool.
Saaya: The fact that they made special outfits really shows you how important this event is. It only happens once every three years, after all.
Arisa: Yeah, they even reserved this athletic field.
Rimi: That's so cool~. I was so surprised when Arisa-chan first told me~.
Sayo: That is proof of how much effort all the schools are putting into this joint sports festival. It also makes me appreciate our volunteer staff.
Tsugumi: The student council and disciplinary committee alone wouldn't be enough to host such a big event. Thanks for lending a hand, everyone!
Kasumi: No problem at all~. We're helping out because we want to!
Tae: Arisa was staying late every day to work on preparations.
Kasumi: We just knew we had to help out~.
Arisa: H-huh? I don't get why that would make you want to help, but whatever.
Saaya: Oh, there's a nice face to see! Look over here, Arisa~.
Arisa: Hey, you'd better not be taking my picture with that!
Tsugumi: Saya-chan, that is one heavy-duty camera you have there.
Saaya: Oh, this? I borrowed it from the school.
Rimi: Saya-chan is going to be juggling both committee duties and photographing the event.
Arisa: Being a committee member on its own is tough enough. It takes guts to try handling both.
Saaya: I guess so... I just want to have something to look back on fondly with you guys.
Kasumi: Take as many pictures as you can, Saya~! I'll help you!
Tae: Me too!
Saaya: Fufufu, thanks.
Sayo: There is nothing wrong with having fun, but the success of the festival is riding on us as members of the festival committee.
Sayo: Please keep the meaning behind these wristbands in mind.
Kasumi: Okay!
Hina: Sis~! What're you guys talking about?
Sayo: Nothing. We are simply discussing the sports festival.
Hina: Hmmm. Ah, by the way, are you free during the after-party?
Sayo: Yes. Aside from the concert, I have nothing else planned...
Hina: Then let's hang out together~! After the show, we can meet up and walk around!
Arisa: Right, the concert~. I never thought it would be happening at the stadium.
Kasumi: I can't wait~. It's going to be so awesome putting on a show with everyone!
Rimi: Tsugumi-chan, you said that this was originally Hina-san's idea, right?
Tsugumi: Yeah. She said we should do something special since this event only happens once every three years.
Tae: As always, nice thinking, Hina-san!
Hina: What do you think, Sis~? Come chill with me~.
Sayo: I swear... Are you not assisting Shirokane-san with the sportsmanship pledge soon? Focus on your duties and leave the rest for later.
Hina: I've got it covered~! Rinko-chan and I already went over it earlier.
Arisa: Hazawa-san and I were also there. The meeting finished without any problems.
Sayo: I suppose that is fine, then... However, Hina, make sure you take this seriously. Understood?
Hina: Okay~!
Kasumi: We're looking forward to seeing you give the pledge, Hina-san!
Sayo: Roger that! Sit back and watch me handle it like a pro~.

Opening Ceremony - Sportsmanship Pledge

Rinko: Though we come from different schools... by participating in this year's sports festival... we strive to better understand and appreciate our peers... and recognize each other as equals...
Hina: So keep good sportsmanship in mind, and, um~... show off all those great friendships we've formed along the way~!
Rinko: Huh...? H-Hina-san... that isn't what we-...
Hina: So let's bust out all those little successes that brought us this far, come together as a group, and make this the most boppin' festival we can~♪
Kasumi: Yeah~!
Arisa: N-no way... She totally ad-libbed the last half...
Sayo: Sigh, that girl...

Kasumi: Wow, the whole place is abuzz with excitement~! We've only just started, and everyone's already pumped up~.
Arisa: That being said, it's way too crowded... It's hard enough just moving around.
Tae: You think so? Slipping through the crowd reminds me of playing ninja with Eve. I'm having fun.
Rimi: We have to do all our duties in this crowd.
Saaya: We have to guide the players around, prepare the equipment, and keep score, right...? We have a lot on our plates~.
Kasumi: Still, the harder we work, the more fun everyone will have at the festival, right?!
Arisa: Well, it'll be pretty exciting if we just make sure things go smoothly.
Kasumi: In that case, let's give it our all for everyone who came!
Rimi, Tae & Saaya: Yeah!
Kasumi: Alright~! Festival committee, let's get to work~!

Kasumi: Okay, everyone~! Please wait right here until the competition begins~!
Arisa: That takes care of the long jump players. Up next is~... Guiding the high jump players. Let's go, Kasumi~.
Tsukushi: Um, are you part of the festival committee?! I have a question...!
Mashiro: Huh...? Kasumi-san, Arisa-san?
Kasumi: Ah, Tsukushi-chan, Mashiro-chan! Why are you in such a rush?
Mashiro: W-well... You see, we're supposed to be doing the obstacle course, but...
Tsukushi: We turned away for only a second and somehow lost the group...
Kasumi: Th-that's terrible! We'll take you over to the obstacle course area right away!
Arisa: The obstacle course? Hang on... Ah, it's on the opposite side of the venue. If we take them there, there's no way we'll make it back in time for the player entrances.
Tsukushi: W-would you mind telling us where to go, then? We should be able to handle it from there.
Arisa: You need to head to this spot here on the map... but it's kinda hard to find~.
Mashiro: So we go to this spot near the stands on the west side, right...? Th-the stands on the north side look pretty close too...
Kasumi: Yeah, it's definitely confusing~. Arisa, can't you teleport us there and back?
Arisa: Huh? What in the world are you talking about? As if anything like that exists!
Kasumi: Right~, my bad. In that case, we'd better take them ourselves! It's much easier than trying to explain everything!
Arisa: Yeah, but we don't have time...
Mashiro & Tsukushi: ...
Arisa: Nngh... Argh, alright! Let's just hurry!
Mashiro & Tsukushi: Thank you so much!

Tae: Ah, there they are. The hurdles are over here, guys~.
Saaya: Nice one, O-Tae!
Rimi: It'll take some time to line them up, so we should probably hurry.
Saaya: True... H-huh? Where did that large group of people come from...? Hm, Isn't that...?
Rimi: ...!
Kaoru: Fufu, thank you, my little kittens. My first-place victory was only possible with your assistance.
Little Kittens: Eek~! Kaoru-sama~!
Kaoru: A legion of voices that stretches beyond our academic institutions... Ahhh, how fleeting.
Tae: Kaoru-san even has a lot of fans outside of Hanasakigawa and Haneoka, huh?
Saaya: Wow~... Wait, how are we supposed to get through this crowd?!
Tae: Let's try over this way. It'll take a little longer than normal, but it should still be faster.
Saaya: That does sound like our best bet. Let's go!
Rimi: Sigh~. So cool~.
Saaya: ... Rimi-rin? H-hurry up~!

Athletic Field - Hallway

Arisa: Sigh, I'm exhausted~. It's pure chaos out there...
Saaya: I didn't expect so much to happen. There were multiple times I was sure we weren't going to make it in time.
Arisa: No kidding, we barely made it~. Although, now all we need to do is patrol the venue, so that should be a little easier.
Kasumi: Everyone was so kind and thankful too~. Let's keep this up, guys!
Saaya: Fufufu, of course.
Tae: Rimi. We need to head out soon.
Rimi: We do...? Ah, is it that time already?!
Kasumi: Huh?! Rimi-rin, O-Tae, where are you two going...?
Rimi: Sorry, Kasumi-chan. We have to go do the three-legged race.
Arisa: Oh yeah, you were practicing a ton during lunch. Do you think you can win?
Tae: After our special training, yes. Rimi and I have been listening non-stop to prepare for today.
Saaya: Special training? Listening to what?
Tae: A song to help sync our timing while we run. We found one with a rhythm that's very easy to follow.
Rimi: We still haven't synced up perfectly since listening to the song, but... it does feel like our timing is better than before.
Tae: We scored a serious level-up.
Tae: And now it's like we're always in a three-legged race.
Kasumi: Ohhh~!
Arisa: ... And what does that have to do with listening to a song?
Kasumi: O-Tae, Rimi-rin, we'll definitely be there to cheer you on! ... We can go, right?
Arisa: The three-legged race starts right in the middle of our break, so I don't see why not.
Tae: Get ready, guys. We'll show you how strong our triple leg combo is.

Kasumi: Wow, that takoyaki looks so good~! Ah! They have yakisoba over there, too!
Saaya: The venue is really buzzing~. I didn't expect them to have stalls set up too.
Saaya: My family should be here by now, so I'll take Jun and Sana to have a look around later.
Arisa: Years ago, some upperclassmen suggested adding vendors to the event. They wanted to spice things up since this only happens once every three years.
Kasumi: No kidding! Thanks so much, upperclassmen! You made this whole thing way more fun~!
Arisa: Hey, everyone's looking at us! Don't make such a ruckus while we're still on the job.
???: Yes, it appears as though that loud outburst scared off the kittens.
???: I will be direct with my dissatisfaction. I finally had the chance to pet those adorable kittens, and I would like that time back.
Saaya: Um, may I ask who you are?
Student from Another School: I am no one of importance. Putting that aside, those wristbands... Are you members of the festival committee?
Kasumi: We sure are! Let us know if you need help with anything!
Student from Another School: Very well, I will take you up on that offer and explain as I stave off this overwhelming sadness. I have lost a tin badge that is very precious to me...
Kasumi: What~?! That's awful~! Wait here! I'll go see if I can find it!
Arisa: Huh? Hold up, Kasumi~!

10 Minutes Later

Kasumi: I'm back~! Is this frog badge here the one that you lost?
Student from Another School: Ah... Yes, it is. I was looking everywhere for it.
Kasumi: Really?! I'm glad we could find it~.
Student from Another School: Yes, as am I. It is the first present I ever received from my big sister.
Student from Another School: And yet, how did you know what the badge looked like? I never had the chance to describe it to you.
Arisa: I sent her the information in our chat.
Student from Another School: Ah... I see. So that is why you requested such a thorough, in-depth description while she was gone.
Arisa: Come on, all I did was ask about your badge! I'm more surprised that you couldn't figure out why I even asked...
Kasumi: Thanks for the information, Arisa!
Arisa: ... Come on, I only did it because you're so careless! What were you going to do if it didn't turn up nearby?
Kasumi: Ah... You've got a point!
Arisa: So now you notice...
Kasumi: Hehehe, I just sort of bolted after hearing how important the badge was~.
Saaya: Hahaha! Yep, that's the Kasumi we know ♪
Student from Another School: ... You very much resemble my big sister. Like you, she would never hesitate to assist those in need.
Saaya: Unable to turn away from people who need help, huh~...? Yeah, they do sound similar! Kasumi can never ignore others.
Arisa: ... Which makes her so hard to keep track of. It'd be nice if she slowed down long enough for us to catch up.
Saaya: You say that, but we know you could never leave Kasumi alone either. Isn't that right, Kasumi?
Kasumi: Thanks for always being there, Arisa!
Arisa: H-huh?! You two can't just say whatever you want!
Student from Another School: Seeing that you are also blessed with exceptional friends has eased my rattled nerves. They were growing stronger as the hour of competition draws near.
Student from Another School: Now then, I must take my leave. Thank you very much for your time.
Arisa: That person was a little odd.
Saaya: She did have a rather unique personality~. It looks like she was happy, though.
Kasumi: Uh-huh! I'm so glad we found that badge~.
???: Excuse me. I ask with the most pure of intentions, but are you on the festival committee...?
Arisa: Huh? Y-you're that same girl...!
Saaya: Didn't you head towards the field just now...? How did you end up behind us...? Huh? Huh?
Kasumi: Whoa~! It's like she teleported!
The Same Student?: I have no idea what has you so surprised, but I wish to return a lost item... I hand it to you with a genuinely proud expression.
Saaya: Th-thanks... What's this? A metal block...?
Kasumi: It's so sparkly! How pretty~!
Arisa: What a strange color. Is it iron? Aluminum? What kind of metal is that?
The Same Student?: I am afraid I cannot answer that question. Now then, I must take my leave.
Arisa: I... don't think she was joking. It's like she really didn't know who we were.
Saaya: Do you think they were twins?
Arisa: Oh, that would explain the close resemblance.
Kasumi: Ah~!!
Arisa: Whoa, don't scare me like that! What are you yelling for...?
Saaya: Wh-what's wrong, Kasumi...?
Kasumi: Look over there! That girl is over at the ice cream stand now...!
Saaya: She is! I guess that means they're triplets...
Arisa: N-no, there are four of them. I see one more over there...
Saaya: I've heard that if something has already happened twice, it's bound to happen a third time... Do you think there are even more of them?
Arisa: I really don't think that's possible...
Kasumi: Huh? Over there, is that...?
Arisa: No way, that's not possible~. Huh...? It can't be, right...?

Yukina: Toyama-san, what are you doing here?
Kasumi: We came to support O-Tae and Rimi-rin! They're both gonna be in the three-legged race~.
Lisa: The same goes for us. We're here to root for Ako~.
Lisa: She told us that we'd better come cheer for her since she got partnered with Tomoe. Although, we would've come whether she asked us or not ♪
Kasumi: Huh~?! Did Ako and Tomoe-chan really team up?!

Ako: Ako and Sis, the ultra-mega strong combo, enters the fight~!
Rimi: I never thought we'd be going up against those two.

Rimi: S-sorry, O-Tae-chan! My bass was behind a beat, and I forgot to go on the intro~.
Tae: No worries. I got too excited and got ahead of myself.
Rimi: I completely understand~! That song would feel a bit more fast-paced if you started playing the guitar right away!
Tae: I think the drum part could use a bit of a boost too. Oh, as for the keyboard...
Rimi: Ah! O-Tae-chan, maybe now isn't...
Tae: Ah, you're right. Okay, let's try again from the beginning.

Kasumi: For real?! If only it would let up sooner... Hmm! Nnngh~...!

Kasumi: Huh~?! The sports festival has been put on hold~?!
Rinko: Y-yes... That recent bolt of lightning... seems to have... damaged the electrical equipment...
Sayo: A team is currently working on repairs. While we have switched to auxiliary power, only the necessary systems are running.
Arisa: How long do you think it will take to fix?
Tsugumi: At least one hour, according to the repair team...
Kasumi: Th-that long?!
Rimi: U-um, is there anything we can do to help?!
Rinko: For now... All you can do is wait... while we draft... a new schedule...
Kasumi: Arisa, what do you think is gonna happen~? I don't want the sports festival to get canceled~.
Arisa: Huh? It'll get back on track once the power is restored, so why are you even worried?
Rimi: I kind of understand how Kasumi-chan feels. Even if the festival starts back up, it just won't be the same...
Tae: All that excitement will be gone.
Kasumi: Exactly! You read my mind~. I'm sure the festival will heat back up eventually, but this is our only chance to enjoy the present!
Arisa: Well, I guess I can see where you're coming from... But what can we do about it?
Saaya: If only there was some other way to energize everyone, even without the sports festival.
Kasumi: Some other way... Saya, that's it! We should put on a concert!
Tae: Great idea, Kasumi! We already brought our instruments, so we can get the show started right away.
Arisa: Hold it, hold it! How do you expect to use our amps with no power?!
Rimi: Ah... Do you think we could borrowed some of the back-up power?
Sayo: Wait a minute. I understand wanting to preserve the energy of the festival, but...
Rinko: The festival committee... already has its hands full with the power outage... so we can't spare any people... to help with a concert...
Hina: In that case, why don't we get everyone to lend a hand?
Tsugumi: Who are you referring to?

LOCK: S-so, um... Do you want to play shiritori?
Kaoru: "Salutations, my little kittens. How are you choosing to spend this sudden expanse of free time?"
Asuka: Who's that giving the announcement...?
LOCK: Is that Kaoru-senpai?
Kaoru: "Life is a series of unexpected surprises. I imagine you are all coping in your own various ways. Therefore, I offer this proposal to you."

Maya: Fufu. The crowd's really into it!
Kanon: Kaoru-san, Kokoro-chan, and Misaki-chan totally turned the mood around. I'm impressed~.
Maya: That they have. It may not be an exaggeration to call their skills supernatural.
Maya: I am looking forward to seeing what other manner of supernatural performances are coming up!
Kanon: Fufu... We'll need to step up our game, then. I can't wait to see your supernatural powers, Maya-chan.
Maya: Huhehe... Understood! I am counting on you too, Matsubara-san! We must do our best to help the performers display their highest level of skill!
Kanon: Yeah!
Kokoro: Misaki~! We're moving up to level three and level four! Here goes~!
Misaki: Whoa, isn't this way faster than usual?! I can't even see the balls...!
Kokoro: We're not done yet! Crank it up to level five!
Misaki: Level five... Wait, is that the one where we use our heads?! I can't do that yet!

Kokoro: Mmm, this is incredible! We shouldn't be the only ones having this much fun!
Kokoro: I know! Anybody who has a skill they want to show off, come on down! Let's play together!
Misaki: Cut that out. There are people who find this kinda stuff embarrassing.
Kokoro: Oh, and what exactly makes it embarrassing? Everyone has something unique that only they can do!
Kokoro: Every single person in the world is an invincible superhero!

Kasumi: Of course! We can make up for the lack of sound in other areas. Besides, this show is the best way to hype everyone up!
Sayo: Yes, but...
Arisa: Sayo-senpai, you may as well give up. She's already made up her mind.
Arisa: I will do everything I can to keep her from causing a problem. So please allow us to perform.
Arisa: I will take full responsibility should anything happen... Please.

Kaoru: "What did you think of that hip-hop hustle brought to you by the Hanasakigawa and Haneoka dancers? My heart is filled with a feeling most fleeting. Do give them another round of applause!"
Kaoru: "Up next, we bring to you the little kittens who initially proposed this fleeting show. Do put your hands together for our next group."
Kasumi: Hello, everyone! We're~...
Poppin'Party: Poppin'Party!

Kasumi: K-Kaoru-san?
Kaoru: "Poppin'Party, a moment of your time, if I may? Sayo has just provided me with a riveting tidbit of information. Allow me to propose the following."
Arisa: What is she talking about...?
Kaoru: "Let us all count down to the beginning of your show. All little kittens present here will join in, won't you?"
Rimi: S-so we're doing a group countdown...?
Saaya: What do you think, Kasumi?
Kasumi: I don't know what's going on... but it looks like Kaoru-san has a plan!
Tae: Okay~. A countdown it is, then!
Kaoru: "Kasumi-chan and her companions have consented. Therefore, we shall start the count at five. Are you ready...? Five."
Rimi: Four!
Tae: Three!
Saaya: Two!
Arisa: One!

Kasumi: Yay~! Hehehe, now that's the guitar sound I know and love~.
Tae: The lights flickered on just as Kasumi's guitar rang out. It was like she shocked the system back into place. So cool.
Kasumi: No way, it was a total coincidence~.

The Other Four: Cheers~!
Saaya: Good job, everyone! We ran into some trouble, but it all worked out in the end~.
Arisa: No kidding. Way too much happened today.
Rimi: We had our hands full even after the festival was back on. I'm exhausted~.
Tae: It was a ton of fun, though. I'd love to have another joint sports festival.
Kasumi: I completely agree, O-Tae~! It should be held every year, not once every three~.
Rimi: Speaking of which, we need to start getting ready for the after-party concert.
Kasumi: Yeah, you read my mind, Rimi-rin! I've been looking forward to this for forever~.
Tae: Me too! We'll need to change up the set list from this afternoon, though.
Arisa: I swear... you guys are way too excited. Aren't you tired at all?
Kasumi: Come on, I love concerts~. Don't you, Arisa?

Kasumi: Me too! Look, Arisa is smiling so hard!
Arisa: H-huh? Stop saying whatev–
Saaya: Now that face is a keeper.
Arisa: What?! Wh-who said you could take my picture?!
Saaya: I'm in charge of photography for this event. I can't let a photo opportunity like that slip by ♪
Tae: Saya. I want to do a group photo.
Rimi: Now that you mention it, I don't think we've taken one today.
Kasumi: Then that settles it! Gather around, guys!
Arisa: S-stop pushing me, Kasumi!
Saaya: Is a twenty-second timer enough? Let me put the camera on this stand here and...

Sayo: "All girls band members participating in the after-party concert, please gather backstage."

Trivia

  • As this event is a collaboration between BanG Dream! Girls Band Party and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T, there are numerous references to Toaru Kagaku no Railgun in the event story and card stories. They include:
    • The event story takes place during a joint sports festival between different high schools, identically to the Daihasei Festival Arc.
    • The joint sports festival committee Poppin'Party joins is similar to the Judgment.
    • Tae mentions that she and Rimi gained a "serious level-up" while practicing for the three-legged race. In the Toaru series' universe, Level refers to a person's esper level, with 0 being the lowest, and 5 being the highest.
    • Kasumi helps out a girl who approaches her, Arisa and Saaya and asks them to help her find a frog badge, saying it is important to her because it was the first gift her "sister" gave to her. They later proceed to see a same-looking girl multiple times afterwards.
    • In Arisa's Card Story, Rimi and Tae mention running into a person who "looked exactly like Arisa from behind, had twin tails, referred to someone from her school as her onee-sama, and had a quirky way of ending her sentences." Arisa then proceeds to imagine a scene where she is the girl and Kasumi is her "onee-sama". Further references to Kuroko appear in the event story, where Kasumi asks if Arisa couldn't just teleport the two of them and Mashiro and Tsukushi across the festival grounds.
    • In Rimi's Card Story, Saaya and Rimi are going through the lost items in the Sports Festival's committee room. They end up finding a frog mask, a hair accessory made out of flowers, futuristic goggles, and a remote.
