Enjoying Tennis

Misaki: Hup! Hah! Hmm, just as I thought, hitting the ball off the wall isn't really cutting it...
Kasumi: Huh? What are you doing here, Misaki-chan?
Misaki: Wah!! T-Toyama-san?!
Kasumi: Hello~! It's just you today, huh~?
Misaki: Yeah... It's my day off for both band practice and my part-time job.
Kasumi: Oh, okay! So, whatcha doing?
Misaki: Just hitting the ball against this wall. I'm in the Tennis Club, so sometimes I'll practice by myself like this.
Kasumi: What?! You're in the Tennis Club?!
Misaki: Hold on, haven't I told you this before? And I feel like you're this surprised every time I tell you, too.
Kasumi: Did you? Ah! Did I tell you about the time I almost joined the Tennis Club?!
Misaki: ... Yeah. You have. Multiple times now.
Kasumi: Ehehe... Sorry. Oh well, no use sweating the small stuff!
Misaki: I can only pray that you'll be able to remember what we're talking about now.
Kasumi: Hey, Misaki-chan, what made you join the Tennis Club anyway?
Misaki: Ahh~... Good question.
Kasumi: Huh?! What do you mean? What was it?
Misaki: I've always liked physical activity, so that's probably got something to do with it. I don't remember why I chose tennis though...
Kasumi: I see! Ah, now that I think about it, the way Michelle moves is pretty similar to how tennis players move, isn't it?
Misaki: ... You think so? Hmm~. If it is, it's not something I'm doing on purpose. Can you give me an example?
Kasumi: Uhm... An example... Sorry, nothing's really coming to mind... Ehehe.
Misaki: Living in your own world, I see... Oh yeah, speaking of Tennis Club.
Misaki: I actually remember watching you from afar when you came to our practice that day.
Kasumi: Huh?! You were there?!
Misaki: Sure was. The older students were teaching the newcomers, right? I was there, but I was just practicing as usual~.
Kasumi: Ehehe... Now I'm worried I did something embarrassing.
Misaki: Ah, I don't know about that. I remember seeing you and thinking you were doing pretty well.
Misaki: You seemed like you could go far if you ended up joining.
Kasumi: Do you think I'm some sort of tennis genius?! Hearing all this praise makes me feel like I am~.
Misaki: Ah, there was one more reason I was watching you that day...
Kasumi: Really? What?! What was it?!
Misaki: Every time you swung your racket, you would go "Ooh~!" or "Wah~!"
Kasumi: A-are you sure about that...?
Misaki: Definitely am. You looked like you were having a lot of fun. I've been playing tennis since middle school, so I kinda forgot that feeling.
Kasumi: Well, yeah! Starting something new is super fun and exciting! I felt the same way with Poppin'Party and the guitar!
Misaki: Ahaha, I can see that... Ah, I know. Toyama-san, would you like to play tennis with me?
Kasumi: Can I?! Yeah! I wanna play, I wanna play!
Misaki: Sure. I happen to have an extra racket anyway. Plus, playing against you will make for good practice.
Kasumi: Fufu~, you don't want to underestimate me, Misaki-chan~. You'll regret it once I win~.
Misaki: You took the words right out of my mouth~.
Kasumi: ... Fufu! Alright, here I come! ... Ah...
Misaki: Hm? What's up?
Kasumi: How do you hold the racket again...?
Misaki: ... Alright, let's start from the beginning. First...

How I Changed

Shopping Mall
Misaki: Ah! Hello, Marina-san, BanG Dreamer-san.
Marina: Hey~, Misaki-chan! Are you doing some shopping?
Misaki: Yeah, the strings on my racket have gotten pretty messed up, so I came to buy some new ones.
Marina: Strings...? Ahh, you're in the Tennis Club, right?
Misaki: Yeah. Ah, that reminds me...
Misaki: Rinko-senpai came to one of our practices the other day!
Marina: Huh?! Our Rinko-chan?
Misaki: Yeah, she said she wanted to see what being in a club was like.
Misaki: From what I heard, she also went to meetings for the Tea Ceremony Club, Kendo Club, and Archery Club.
Misaki: She didn't end up joining any of them, but honestly, I don't see a problem with that.
Marina: Is that so? I wonder why she decided not to join anything.
Misaki: I heard the main reason she wanted to join a club was so she could change herself...
Misaki: I don't think you have to go through so much trouble though. I feel like change is something that happens when it happens, you know what I mean?
Misaki: It may not be as obvious as she'd expect, but there are probably plenty of opportunities for change in her everyday life.
Marina: I suppose so. There are many times where you realize how much you've changed only after the fact.
Misaki: Exactly. That's how it was for me, anyway.
Marina: Really? What about you has changed?
Misaki: When Hello, Happy World! first started, I was just rolling with it, but before I even noticed it... I started considering myself a member of the band.
Marina: Ahaha, oh yeah! That's a good thing though, right?
Misaki: Yeah... probably. Still, going back to Rinko-senpai... Just the fact that she decided to turn over a new leaf is already pretty impressive, in and of itself...
Misaki: Usually you'd get anxious or think it was too much of a pain, wouldn't you? Yet here's Rinko-senpai taking that first step forward.
Misaki: And if you think about it, that's not necessarily the kind of thing you can do just because you decide to do it.
Marina: Very true~. Changing and adapting both require a lot of effort.
Misaki: So you two think so too, huh?
Marina: Yup. I agree with you.
Misaki: Rinko-senpai said she's going to enter a piano competition soon. Man, is she incredible...
Misaki: Ah, when she does, I really want to go cheer her on.
Misaki: How would you two feel about attending together?
Marina: I'd love to! You, me and BanG Dreamer-san should all go!
Misaki: She's taken her first step... Now let's show her our support.
