Haneoka Girls' Academy - Class 2-A

Moca: Hey, Ran~. About our next class~...
Moca: ...? What's with that weird look?
Ran: I went to put my book away, but something is already in my desk...
Moca: Hm~, whoever sat there before probably left it behind, no?
Moca: We were told during the closed ceremony to take our belongings home, but I spy someone who doesn't listen~.
Moca: So, are those the items in question?
Ran: Yeah, an empty snack bag and a small book. The bag can probably be tossed out, but it'd be better to return the book, right...?
Ran: But whose book could it be? There... doesn't seem to be a name written down.
Moca: Fufufu, how interesting~. I now have a clear understanding of the situation~.
Moca: This looks like a job for Detective Moca-chan, private eye.
Ran: Detective... who, now?
Moca: The crime stories I've read recently have prepared me well~. The culprit will not escape my incredible skills of deduction~.
Ran: And by stories, you mean manga, don't you?
Moca: They're very interesting, I'll have you know~. Two thumbs up~.
Moca: Now then, we must begin with a preliminary examination of the item~.
Ran: Sigh... knock yourself out.
Moca: Hmmm. Remnants of the snack food yet remain within the bag. Sniff, sniff. That smel... The aroma of cookies?
Moca: Due to a lack of writing on the bag itself, these cookies must not have come from a store. Handmade, most likely.
Moca: Ran-kun, my dear assistant, does the phrase "handmade cookies" ring any bells~?
Ran: I don't remember being your assistant. As for the phrase, I can't say that it does...
Ran: Hm? Cookies? You know, Lisa-san did mention that she often makes some herself.
Moca: Fufufu, you seem to have put the pieces together, Ran-kun.
Ran: Come to think of it, she was in class A, wasn't she? So, could this have been her desk?
Moca: Never jump to conclusions, Ran-kun~. This is your classic red herring.
Ran: Is that right?
Moca: Lisa-san isn't the type to bring cookies for herself. They would most certainly be a gift for others~.
Ran: So, this isn't her desk, then...
Moca: Right. It actually belongs to someone who received said cookies from her.
Moca: Furthermore, the clue to the culprit's identity is none other than that book. Pray read the title~.
Ran: The title is... Shakespeare's "Macbeth"...!
Moca: Even you should understand now, Ran-kun.
Ran: Any Shakespeare book probably belongs to Seta-san...! So she was the culprit!
Moca: Fufufu, precisely~.
Ran: Not bad, Moca. Maybe I underestimated those manga of yours.
Hina: Excuse me~!
Ran: ...? Hina-san?
Hina: Don't mind me, I just remembered that I left a book Kaoru-kun lent me in my old desk. Ah, that's it! The one Ran-chan is holding!
Ran: Huh?
Hina: Whoops~... Guess I never threw away the snack bag I got from Lisa-chi~. My bad, let me get rid of it for you.
Ran: Does that mean this was Hina-san's desk...? Oh, yeah, she was in class A, too...
Ran: ... Moca. What happened to you being some great detective?
Moca: Huh, that's strange~. My logic should have been flawless~.
Hina: Hm? What're you talking about?
Moca: Oh, nothing. Just you, Hina-senpai... She who can deceive even the greatest of investigative minds.

CiRCLE - Cafeteria

Moca: Ah, BanG Dreamer-san. Hello there~.
Moca: Boy, have I got news for you~. I somehow made it to my second year of high school~. Well, it's not like I was going to be held back or anything.
Moca: ... Hehehe~. Thank you~. Being congratulated never gets old~.
Moca: A new school year means new classes, as you know. And at long last, the Afterglow crew was finally placed together~.
Moca: It's honestly a miracle, if you consider the odds~.
Moca: Or maybe the teachers were thoughtful enough to do that for us... Well, I suppose we'll never know.
Moca: As far as I'm concerned, we're together now, so the reason doesn't concern me~.
Moca: Ah, and now to share with you a very important change~. Ran and I had class together after three years, and it turns out...
Moca: She has started wearing glasses during class~.
Moca: ...Wait, what's with that reaction? This is a major development, so try to show a bit more surprise~.
Moca: This is nothing like how Hii-chan puts on shades to try and look cool~.
Moca: How can I put it...? It helped me realize how much Ran has grown~.
Moca: ... Huh? How much have I changed?
Moca: Hmmm~... Not at all, really.
Moca: After all, I'm the same gorgeous lady I've always been~.
Moca: But if I had to pick something that's different now... it would be the bump in salary at my part-time job~.
Moca: That's a big deal to me, I'll have you know. It nets me one extra bun during lunch~.
Moca: In the end, it all comes back to buns~. The life I live is the same as always.
Moca: So yeah, I haven't changed one bit, have I~?
