Maya: Let's see... I think we've pretty much got all the props, right? All we have to buy now is... Hmm...
Aya: By the way, Maya-chan... I know virtually nothing about theater, so this might be a weird question, but... Do you take care of gathering the props every time?
Maya: It actually depends. When a lot of props are required, we get experts to help. But when we don't need many, sometimes we have the performers bring them in.
Maya: This time we're smack in the middle, so I thought I'd just do it myself.
Aya: Oh~, is that so? I thought your job was just to take care of the stage lighting.
Maya: I originally was the lightning technician, but somewhere along the way, I ended up becoming the stage director.
Aya: A stage director...?
Maya: Yeah, there's always one for the Pastel*Palettes performances too! It's the person who gives directions to the other staff members.
Aya: ... Oh! I know who you're talking about now. It's the person who's always crazy busy, right?
Maya: That’s right! The stage director has to take care of everything behind the scenes, so it's a really busy job.
Aya: If that's the case, my role will be supporting you however I can, right?
Maya: Yes, please. Thank you in advance, Aya-san!
Aya: Okay, I'll do my best! Let's see... Today we are buying all the props we need and having a set-design meeting? Oh, and we have to decide on the costumes!
Aya: That's quite a lot to do... It must be really tough for one person to take care of all of that...
Maya: Well, it's certainly rough, but that's why it's so much fun. I particularly like this type of behind-the-scenes work.
Maya: Alright then! I think we're okay on props. Next on the list are costumes.
Aya: I believe I wrote a note about them somewhere! ... Ah, here it is! Let's see, the first one we'll need is the prince one? And after that is...
Maya: For the most part, we have costumes from past plays that we can fix up and use. The one we need to think about is the one in the last scene where the main character wears-
Aya: A dress... right?
Maya: Yeah. The dress I have in mind for this scene is slightly different than the ones we have in storage... So, I've been racking my brain trying to figure out what to do.
Aya: Uhm, Maya-chan... Can I ask you a really basic question?
Maya: Why, of course!
Aya: Kaoru-san will be coming out in both a prince costume and a dress, right? My question is... is the main character for this play a guy? ... Or is it a girl?
Maya: Well, you see, the main character is actually a girl. However, she lives as a man and dresses the part. That's why she'll appear in a prince's costume first, and then at the end, she'll wear a dress.
Aya: Oh~, so that's how the play works! I finally get it now!
Maya: That's why in the last scene when she comes out to do her monologue, I was hoping she could wear a dress that's gorgeous and refined... But we can't afford something like that.
Aya: Oh! What about trying a store that sells party goods? They should have dresses there that aren't too expensive...
Maya: Yeah, but in those cases, you get what you pay for. I'm sorry to say this but those kinds of costumes just end up looking cheap on stage.
Aya: Oh, is that so...? Then what should we do...?
Maya: Well, the answer is rather simple! If we can't buy one, we'll just have to make one ourselves!
Aya: What?! We're gonna make the dress ourselves?!
Maya: That's how a stagehand would think! I'm not sure if it'll be feasible or not, but let's go check out the fabric store for now!
Shopping Mall - Fabrics And Crafts Store

Yukina: I see. So, this is where you buy all the fabric for the Roselia outfits, huh?
Rinko: Y-yes... They have a wide range of fabrics here... and other materials, too... I can pretty much get everything I need...
Yukina: So, let's say you're making an outfit. About how much cloth is usually required?
Rinko: That will depend... on the design... Let's see, the outfits I made last time required... about three meters of light-blue cloth... per dress.
Yukina: That must make creating outfits for five people rather challenging, huh?
Rinko: ... Well, Ako-chan is always... there to help me... And I've always enjoyed... this type of work anyway... It's challenging... but also... fun...
Yukina: Challenging, but also fun... That's certainly a fitting answer for you.
Rinko: Uh-uhm... Yukina-san, I'm sincerely happy ...you're trying to get to know us as band members a little better...
Yukina: It is what's required to get Roselia to the top. That is all there is to it really...
Rinko: Unfortunately, I'm not so good at explaining things... Though, I know I can talk about various things once I'm making the outfits... I'm terribly sorry...
Yukina: Fufu... If it is alright with you, would you spend a little more time with me?
Rinko: O-of course...
Maya: Hey... isn't that... Minato-san and Shirokane-san over there?!
Yukina: Yamato-san? What are you doing in a place like this?
Maya: Well, you see, there's a performance coming up for the theater club, so Aya-san and I are making preparations for it.
Rinko: Maruyama-san, too...?
Aya: Yup, I'm here as Maya-chan's assistant!
Aya: How about you? What are you two doing here?
Yukina: I'm having Rinko explain to me the process of making our outfits. What's important to me right now is getting to know the other band members...
Aya: Roselia's outfits are seriously out of this world! They're so gorgeous and refined... Oh!
Aya: Maya-chan! The dress from the last scene!
Maya: Y-yes! I just got the same idea too!
Yukina: What is going on? You two seem rather animated...?
Maya: Uhh, excuse me, Shirokane-san! There's a favor I'd like to ask of you!
Rinko: A-a favor...?
Maya: P-please make our stage costumes with us!!
Aya: This is a favor from me too, Rinko-chan!
Rinko: ... Huh? St-stage... costumes...? Wh-what... are you talking about?
Yukina: We would like more information, if that's okay with you.

Haneoka Girls' Academy - Theater Club

Maya: Hello, everyone. Thank you very much for gathering here today. For all of you in attendance-
Aya: M-Maya-chan! It sounds like you're about to give a long speech!
Maya: S-sorry about that...! I'm just nervous seeing faces I don't normally see at the theater club...!
Kaoru: Yukina. Rinko. You must have come here for the sake of seeing me. Please accept my warmest welcome.
Rinko: ...
Yukina: I assure you we are not here for that reason...
Maya: Actually, Minato-san and Shirokane-san are going to help us with making the costumes!
Kaoru: Ahhh, I see. How very fleeting, the both of you.
Aya: Yukina-chan! Rinko-chan! Let's all do our best!
Rinko: I-I... look forward... to working... with you...
Yukina: I'll try not to be a burden.
Maya: There's no way you'd be a burden! I'm just really thankful the both of you are willing to help us out!
Yukina: This is the perfect opportunity for me since I wanted to see how Rinko makes our outfits anyway.
Rinko: I... also wanted to talk more to Yukina-san about making clothes...
Kaoru: Fufu, in other words... To know others is to know thyself... What a profound way of thinking.
Yukina: And what exactly... is that supposed to mean?
Kaoru: It means... To know others... is what it means to know... thyself. That is all.
Maya: K-Kaoru-san... All you did was say it a little slower...
Rinko: ...
Rinko: (Seta-san sure is... scary...)
Maya: Sh-Shirokane-san, you don't have to be so petrified of Kaoru-san! She's pretty much always like this. You'll get used to it eventually.
Rinko: O-okay...
Maya: Anyway! Did you have a chance to read the script I handed you yesterday?
Yukina: To my understanding... the story is about a character who travels to different stars.
Maya: That's more than enough if you got that much! What about you, Shirokane-san?
Rinko: The story goes beyond... the encounters between people... It also delves into the meeting and parting with entire worlds... I was deeply moved.
Maya: Y-you read it that thoroughly?! You're completely correct! The main character grapples with making difficult life choices that are quite thought-provoking!
Kaoru: The story is an abundance of emotions. You'll witness the protagonist endure an array of difficulties, hurdles, and struggles.
Maya: Uhm, can I point out that... difficulties, hurdles, and struggles are pretty much synonyms of each other...
Kaoru: But anyway, it's not every day we get to work on such a fantastic piece together.
Kaoru: Yukina... And you, Rinko... Perhaps your threads of fate are tied with ours.
Rinko: ...
Rinko: (Just as I thought... So... scary...!)
Maya: Okay, we will split the stage into three large sections representing three different stars. And we'll set up the followspots in three different ways.
Aya: What... are 'followspots'?
Maya: Oh, followspots are lighting instruments that project a bright beam onto a performance area. The followspot can really change the whole atmosphere of the stage.
Aya: I see! Ah, I should write this down! Uhm... "Followspots"...
Maya: When it comes to stage design, it's better to have an abstract idea rather than a concrete one.
Maya: We'll need to make around ten long rectangular boxes which can be used as chairs or tables depending on the scene.
Kaoru: I see. I shall begin planning as well.
Maya: Great. Let's aim to do our shop-crew stuff on the weekend after next. All actors are expected to help out on that day, so please be there!
Yukina: Yamato-san, what exactly is this 'shop-crew' thing you speak of?
Maya: Oh, right, I'm sorry! Shop crews are the people who construct and assemble set pieces for a performance, but here, everyone does that together.
Maya: Are there any other questions?
Rinko: Uhm, excuse me...
Maya: Ah, yes. Shirokane-san. What is it?
Rinko: Well, it's just that... I'll be designing the dress... So if possible, I'd like to know what kind of image... Seta-san would like...
Maya: Good point! Kaoru-san, what do you have in mind for the dress in the last scene?
Kaoru: A dress befitting me... Well, it is of utmost importance that the dress be... fleeting.
Rinko: F-fleeting...?
Kaoru: A transient gown that looks like it would vanish at any moment... into thin air.
Rinko: A-a transient gown... that looks like ... it would vanish'...?
Maya: Uhh, let's use some lace and put frills on the dress.
Kaoru: And also... passion! The main character will be brimming with emotion as she aims for new encounters... And she'll need a dress with... passion.
Rinko: ... P-passion...
Maya: ... Red, please.
Kaoru: That is all that I ask of you.
Maya: To summarize... We would like a red dress with lace and beautiful frills.
Aya: You're able to translate all of that...
Maya: I guess I've known Kaoru-san for a long time now. Anyway, Shirokane-san. That's the type of dress we're going for!
Rinko: U-understood...

Aya: Rinko-chan, I think it's perfect! Have faith in yourself! They're gonna love it for sure!
Rinko: I... really hope that's the case...
Yukina: I also think the intricacy of the design is typical of your work.
Rinko: Th-thank you... very much...
Maya: Hey, everyone! Sorry to have kept you all waiting! We had an actors' meeting and it ran a bit late.
Kaoru: Please know how sorrowful it was for me to have left you all alone, my dear kittens. I can only imagine how lifeless and dull the room must have been without me.
Rinko: ... The... dress... design... is...
Kaoru: Oh, I am filled with anticipation to gaze upon the fleeting design you've created. However, before that...
Kaoru: Allow me to recite a poem to express my deepest appreciation, dearest Rinko.
Rinko: A-a poem...?
Kaoru: Oh, Rinko, If you were to be compared, a fleeting lily you'd be. My heart-
Maya: K-Kaoru-san! Let's leave the poem until later! I'm dying to see Shirokane-san's design!
Maya: Shirokane-san, please show it to us!
Rinko: I-I'm not sure... if it'll meet your expectations... but here is the design... I came up with...
Maya: Whoa~! This is...!! Th-this is even better than I was expecting! It's amazing!! What do you think, Kaoru-san?!
Kaoru: Fleeting... and brimming with passion... This is everything I've dreamed of in a dress. The very dress I had envisioned!
Aya: Right, right?! And take a look at the design of the bust! It's gorgeous!
Maya: Are these... flowers?
Rinko: The theme of the play is... meeting and parting... So I thought flowers would be appropriate to represent that sentiment...
Kaoru: For flowers bloom, then they fade away... It is but that, am I correct?
Rinko: Y-yes...
Yukina: I think the high slit of the dress is a nice touch. It'll certainly show off a more elegant figure.
Rinko: Th-that's because... Seta-san can make... anything look good...
Maya: Practically speaking, the slit allows for freedom of movement on stage! It's great! More than great! This dress is fantastic!
Maya: Oh, if we want to make the red of the dress stand out even more... Maybe we should make the backdrop more subdued.
Kaoru: I shall make sure the acting plan will complement the high slit. Without a doubt, this slit design will make the stage shine!
Maya: In that case, how do you feel about this? We can try elevating the stage a little higher! That way, we can make the thigh-high slit stand out even more!
Maya: Let me make a rough floor plan of the set!
Kaoru: Ahh, Rinko. My gratitude can no longer be expressed by a mere poem. Yes, that's it! Will you be so kind as to dance with me?
Rinko: ... D-dance...?
Maya: It's done! What do you think? We'll raise the right side of the stage by three steps! And we can easily do this by using platforms and step units!
Kaoru: Ahh, what a glorious stage it shall be!
Aya: Uhm, Maya-chan... I think platforms are pretty self-explanatory, but what are step units?
Maya: Step units are movable steps. They can help the actors get on a platform that has been adjusted for height.
Aya: Oh, I see! Let me take note of this...
Rinko: Uhm... I was sort of thinking...
Maya: What is it, Shirokane-san?
Rinko: How do you feel about having Seta-san do the monologue in the last scene on top of this...?
Maya: Doing the monologue on top of- ... O-ohh~! That would be an excellent idea!!
Kaoru: Fufu, I was thinking of the exact same thing. Rinko, it seems that we are rather... compatible.
Rinko: You and I are... c-compatible?
Aya: I-I don't think so... What about you, Maya-chan?
Maya: I'm not really sure... I mean, I can't deny it completely, though. They're both cut out to be great artists.
Kaoru: Ah, yes, Maya. If we're doing the monologue on here, then I believe the lighting shall be affected...
Maya: You're certainly right! I'll have to work on changing the light plot again.
Maya: Ohh~, I think we're gonna have ourselves a fantastic stage! And it's all thanks to Shirokane-san's dress design! Thank you so much very much!
Aya: Theater is so fascinating! We started off talking about the dress design, and then we went into deciding on the stage construction and lighting!
Yukina: You get an image of one thing, and then it inspires other aspects... Similar to band performances.
Maya: You're right about that! Theater isn't always just about the actors. The world that's presented is brought together by what happens behind the scenes!
Kaoru: Oh, but theater is not about the performers or the stage crew, either. You're forgetting the most important aspect...
Rinko: I-is it... the audience...?
Kaoru: Fufu. It is but that.
Aya: Wow, maybe you two are compatible...
Kaoru: Rinko... I have witnessed your incredible talent firsthand. Now, I have but one request to ask of you... Will you oblige?
Rinko: Y-yes...
Kaoru: I must confess, the prince outfit I'll be wearing first does not exactly fit the image I desire...
Kaoru: It will be the first impression the audience has of my character. I am hoping it could be more... fleeting.
Rinko: F-fleeting...? I-I believe I understand... I will try to make it more... fleeting...

Aya: Maya-chan~! We should put the wood over here, right?
Maya: Ah, Aya-san! You should always wear heavy-duty gloves when handling lumber! It would horrible if you got hurt!
Aya: Ah, right! Sorry about that! ... Hmm? Where were the gloves again?
Maya: Oh, let's have you do something else then... Can you lay down some newspaper on the floor? We'll need it for some other work.
Aya: Got it! Let's see, the newspapers are...
Rinko: Yukina-san... It's easier to cut with the fabric scissors... if you... keep the bottom blade... touching the table...
Yukina: The bottom blade... Keep it on the table? You mean like this...?
Rinko: Yes... Also, you never want... to close the points of the scissors all the way... Cut with the middle of the blade...
Yukina: Cutting fabric is harder than it looks.
Rinko: Once you get used to it... it becomes quite easy...
Yukina: Even just making one outfit takes a lot of work. I had no idea...
Rinko: Ako-chan and I... always have a good time working on them... Plus... it's all for the success of Roselia...
Yukina: Can I help out as well next time you make outfits?
Rinko: Yes...! O-of course you can!
Maya: Great job, you two! Is there anything you need? If there is, I'd be more than happy bring it over...
Rinko: W-we're fine... Thank you... for asking...
Maya: We ended up asking you to adjust the other costumes for the play, too. I apologize for all the extra work we gave you.
Rinko: No, it's okay because... Yukina-san and Maruyama-san are here... And so are... all the other club members...
Maya: Right now, the actors are having a meeting. But they'll be done soon, and Kaoru-san and the others will join us!
Rinko: O-okay... Thank you for letting us know...
Yukina: Fufu... Rinko, it seems like you're not that scared of Seta-san anymore.
Rinko: Ohh... Yeah... I guess you're right...
Aya: Hey, Maya-chan! Look over here♪ This space is fully covered with newspaper!
Maya: Ohhh, every inch of it, too! I knew you'd do a great job with that, Aya-san!
Aya: Wow, really?! Any other places that need newspaper laid down?!
Maya: Aha, hahaha... I think we're okay on newspaper for now.
Aya: If you need more, just say the word!
Maya: I-I sure will...! Oh, by the way, Shirokane-san, Kaoru-san mentioned altering the prince costume before. How is that coming along...?
Rinko: I'm still working on that... I made a preliminary design... but I felt there's still something missing...
Maya: If it's too much, don't worry about it. I can figure something out.
Rinko: O-okay...
Aya: Same goes for you, Maya-chan? You're juggling classes, prep for the play and our band practices... You have to make sure you fit some breaks into your schedule, too.
Maya: Haha. Thank you very much, Aya-san. But I'm fine, really! Having so much work to do is fun!
Aya: So much work... is fun...?
Kaoru: As Shakespeare once wrote, "The labor we delight in physics pain."
Maya: Whoa, Kaoru-san?!
Kaoru: Fufu, such magnificent insight, befitting of the most admirable writer.
Rinko: I too... identify with that sentiment... I mean... it makes me happy... if I'm able to support those who shine on stage... from behind the scenes...
Rinko: It feels... very similar to when I perform... with Roselia...
Maya: Ohh! I am exactly that way, too! I feel the same when I perform with Pastel*Palettes!
Aya: Wait, what do you mean by that? When you're performing with the band, aren't you two on stage?
Maya: Well, yeah, we are... But what we're talking about is a mood, like a feeling?
Aya: Huh? I don't really get it. Can you explain?
Maya: Hahaha. It's fine that you don't get it.
Maya: Anyway, the actors are done with their meeting. We should begin the building process!
Aya: Okay!
Maya: We'll work on top of the newspaper so we don't get the floor dirty!
Aya: The newspaper that I laid down!
Kaoru: Most impressive, Aya. It is the finest job of laying down newspaper I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.
Aya: You're being too kind. You're gonna make me blush... But now I feel like I should roll up my sleeves and work even harder!
Maya: Oh, Shirokane-san and Minato-san, please go ahead and continue with the costume arrangements.
Rinko: O-okay... We will...
Aya: Hey, Maya-chan... For this piece, I just need to hammer in the nails here, right?
Maya: Oh! Aya-san, you don't have to use a hammer! It'd be terrible if you got hurt by the claw! In fact, can I get you to paint it, please?
Aya: Uhm... I follow the painting part, but huh? The 'claw'...? What's that...?
Yukina: Perhaps it refers to that? The very thing that you are holding in your hand...
Aya: The hammer?! ... Oh, I see! The two sharply curved parts must be the 'claws'!
Maya: Hey, you guys got it right! The claw hammer is the most common hammer we use in stagecraft! The curved claw is used for ripping out nails.
Aya: Wow, sweet! We're all nailing our roles as stagehands! Okay... "The claw hammer... a common tool used by the shop crew"...
Maya: Alright, everyone, let's work on getting these tasks done!

Maya: Okay... Outfits in the box, check. Toolbox... check! Oh, and those are... in this paper bag! Good! Everything is ready to go for tomorrow's prep.
Maya: ... Huh? I think I hear footsteps in the hallway... I wonder if someone forgot something...
Rinko: E-excuse me...
Maya: Whoa, Shirokane-san? What's wrong? Didn't you head home with Aya-san and Minato-san?
Rinko: ... I'm really sorry... It's just that I wanted to refine the prince costume a little more...
Maya: Huh? The prince costume? But we went with your first design. I thought you were done altering it...
Rinko: But after seeing Seta-san's practice performance...I thought of something...
Rinko: I want to make an adjustment... for the performance... So, is it okay... if I borrow the costume?
Maya: You want to alter it now?! But wouldn't that mean you might have to pull an all-nighter?
Rinko: Please... It's something... I really want to do...
Rinko: I'm the costume designer... for this show...
Maya: Shirokane-san...
Rinko: S-so... I really want to see this through to the end... I don't want to leave anything... unfinished...
Maya: Yeah, I get that. You... No, not just you, but also Aya-san and Minato-san, too. You're all a part of this performance.
Maya: Alright...! Can I leave it to you then?
Rinko: Y-yes...
Maya: Okay, if I can have you bring it to the dressing room backstage by tomorrow afternoon that would be great!
Maya: Huhehe. I really hope you enjoy tomorrow's performance! In fact, I reserved the best seats in the house for all of you!
Rinko: A-about that actually...
Rinko: I-if it's not too much of a bother... I'd like to... help out backstage tomorrow... too...
Maya: ... Huh?
Rinko: Yukina-san and Maruyama-san... mentioned it, as well... We want to... fulfill our roles as stagehands... to the very end...
Maya: But it's the load-in tomorrow. Besides, it'll be a really early day for us, and it's all physical labor. If any of you get hurt, it'll hinder your band's performances...
Rinko: ...
Maya: ... Oh! 'Load-in' is theater terminology for the process of-
Rinko: Moving the set and props, and setting up the lighting... right?
Maya: Ah, yes... That's... well, that's exactly it...
Rinko: I guess... I naturally picked up the terminology... from working behind the scenes...
Maya: ...?!
Kaoru: Fufu, if our little kittens have so kindly requested... We have not even a single reason to decline, Maya.
Maya: Whoa, Kaoru-san?! You're still here?!
Kaoru: I was executing the final preparations and caught you two talking.
Kaoru: We could always use more help with the installation process, no? Not even a single reason to decline. Am I right?
Maya: Y-yeah, but... if someone gets hurt, it's going to cause a problem for their band...
Kaoru: Fufu, leave your worries aside. I trust that our brilliant stage director is not a fool who would put her staff in harm's way.
Maya: K-Kaoru-san...
Rinko: U-uhm... I would... like to see for myself... what kind of world gets created... and the stage we envisioned.
Rinko: I've been... looking forward to this... the whole time...
Rinko: P-please... Let us fulfill our behind-the-scenes roles... right to the very end...Please...
Kaoru: Fufu, It is... but that.
Maya: Hmm, I see. You're right...
Maya: Kaoru-san, there's a paper bag next to your feet. Can you take a look inside of it?
Kaoru: A paper bag... Ahh, you mean this very thing here? The contents are... the performance programs.
Maya: I was a little late in ordering them, but they finally came today. I've included everyone's name under the staff section of the program. Please, go ahead and read it.
Rinko: Huh...? "Costumes: Rinko Shirokane, Yukina Minato"... "Assistant Stage Director: Aya Maruyama"...
Maya: The plan was to pass it out to all of you as a surprise tomorrow...
Maya: I wanted to do it as a special thanks to you all.
Maya: You're all part of the staff for this performance. So it only makes sense for you to come for the installation part, too. Uhm...So, what I'm saying is-
Maya: Please come tomorrow and be prepared to work hard!
Rinko: Y-yes, I'll do my best.
Maya: Uhm, Shirokane-san. I know saying this might be a little weird now, but I'm really glad that we asked you to design Kaoru-san's red dress!
Maya: All our performances up until now, we've only ever altered past costumes. This is the first time we've been able to be picky about what we wanted in an outfit.
Kaoru: Yes, as Maya said, all your costumes are nothing but astounding. Each one is elaborate and exquisite, not to mention unequivocally fleeting.
Rinko: ...
Maya: That sort of intuition is a bit out of my reach. Perhaps because I'm rigid or more analytical...
Maya: I'm only good at trying to improve on things that already exist.
Maya: But seeing people like you two, who can create something out of nothing, is absolutely admirable to me.
Kaoru: Fufu, so that's how it is. I was right indeed, Maya. You have admired me all along...
Maya: In other words... It is but that...
Rinko: B-but... there would be no production without someone like you, Yamato-san...
Maya: Huhehe. Just hearing you say that has gotten me all fired up!
Maya: And with that, I'm counting on you guys for the load-in tomorrow! I'll contact Aya-san and Minato-san to let them know.
Kaoru: And we shall need you for the strike as well, Rinko.
Maya: Oh, when we say 'strike', it means-
Rinko: Striking the set... as in disassembling the stage... right? Fufufu...
Maya: Ahahaha. Just as I expected, you're all set with these theater terms!

Maya: Excuse me, Aya-san! Can you bring me the hammer?!
Aya: Yup! Just a second! I'll bring it right over!
Maya: Oh, Minato-san! Please fold over those blackout curtains by your feet. Otherwise, people might trip over them.
Yukina: Perhaps I should put them over to the side?
Maya: Yes, that would be great!
Kaoru: Maya, I have a free hand right now. Can I be of service to you?
Maya: Hmm. For you, Kaoru-san... Oh, yes! It's about time we assemble the flats, could you help with that?
Kaoru: You ask but a simple task of me, Maya. You can trust that I will assemble the flats in a charming fashion.
Maya: I-it doesn't need to be charming... Please just go with the floor plan.
Kaoru: Fufu, what an incorruptible stage director we have.
Aya: Maya-chan! Here's the hammer you asked for! What should I do next?
Maya: Right, your next job... would be to hand over the lanterns to that crew member on the stepladder. Oh! There are strip lights stage right, so be careful!
Aya: Uhh, the strip lights are these on the floor used to light up the stage? And lanterns are lighting units adapted for stage use... Okay, got it!
Kaoru: Yukina. We must brace the flats for support. Can you be a dear and pass me some jacks?
Yukina: The jacks are the triangular frames over here... Is that correct?
Kaoru: Fufu, it would appear the song princess of Roselia is now considerably acquainted with theater terminology.
Maya: Yeah, it certainly seems like everyone's using theater expressions quite naturally, huh?!
Aya: Maya-chan. We're part of the stage crew~! Of course we'd be able to do that much!
Maya: Ahaha, you're right!
Rinko: Uhm... Sorry to interrupt, Yamato-san...
Maya: Oh, Shirokane-san! How is it? How's the prince costume coming along...?
Rinko: Well... about that... I was hoping that you and Seta-san... would give it a final check...
Maya: A final check...?! That would mean it's done, right?! Great job! Thanks for your hard work! Kaoru-san, come over here so you can give the costume a final check!
Kaoru: Fufu. Ah, the costume so meticulously adjusted by Rinko. I have unyielding faith that it'll be nothing but magnificent.
Rinko: I-I'm not really sure...
Maya: But you only started working on it after you came back to get it yesterday...Did you work on it... all night?
Rinko: I got a little bit of sleep... at dawn this morning... There were just certain details... I wanted to make perfect...
Rinko: And so... here it is... the costume...
Maya: Whoa...!
Rinko: Well, the main character... is a girl... but she appears as a male at first...
Rinko: So... I was hoping the costume would strengthen the character's masculinity.
Maya: I see! That's why you added this armband! It certainly makes the character look much more courageous!
Kaoru: Moreover, I notice you've adorned the chest with the symbol of a lion. The design elevates the nobility of the character... Now, it looks like the protagonist has the strength of a powerful feline.
Kaoru: This is the very prince costume I have been yearning for. Ahh, and this fleetingness. It's all I've ever desired!
Rinko: I-I'm glad you find it... fleeting enough...
Maya: Say, Shirokane-san... you've not only nailed all the stage terms but you've somehow managed to understand Kaoru-san-speak, too...
Rinko: N-now that you mention it... I suppose you're right... Fufu...
Kaoru: Maya, the actors have finished getting into wardrobe. Shall we get the crew ready and start the dress rehearsal?
Maya: Yes, absolutely! Oh, a dress rehearsal is-
Rinko: The final rehearsal... before the live performance...
Aya & Yukina: Obviously! Obviously.
Maya: Ahahaha, you're right. Trying to explain it was foolish of me! Alright, let's get this show on the road! Break a leg!
All: Break a leg!
Maya: Actors, in your places, please!
Kaoru: That's my cue, my little kittens. It pains me that we must be separated, but alas, the green room is where I must go.
Rinko: S-Seta-san... B-break... a leg...
Kaoru: I shall. Much appreciated... All of you have toiled long and hard for this play. I shall deliver an outstanding performance worthy of your efforts.
Maya: Backstage crew, in your places! Lighting and sound teams! Preset the stage so it's ready for the audience to enter.
Aya: Wow! The whole mood of this place just changed! It feels like the actual performance is about to start!
Yukina: And we were the ones who created this stage.
Rinko: This is the very view that I've wanted to see... I've been waiting all along... just to see this...
Rinko: It's... so very... fleeting.
Aya: Yup. You're right... It's totally fleeting, I think!
Yukina: Yes. Fleeting, indeed.
Maya: Huhehe. It really is... fleeting...
Maya: Looks like we're ready to go! Lightboard operator... Fade to black!
