BanG Dream! (コミック版 BanG Dream! バンドリ, Comic-ban BanG Dream!) is a manga for the BanG Dream! franchise.

It was written and illustrated by Kashiwabara Mami with ISSEN and was serialized in Monthly Bushiroad from April 8, 2016 (May 2016 issue) to February 8, 2019 (March 2019 issue) for a total of 31 chapters. Four volumes were published and distributed by KADOKAWA.

The first three and final chapters can be read on Comic BUSHI WEB.[1]

This manga shares the same premise with the anime. However, it provides more comprehensive details to each character and features additional scenes not seen in the anime.

It has been published in English by Shogakukan Asia with the first volume released on March 2017.[2]

BanG Dream! tells the story of 1st year high school student Kasumi Toyama, who endeavors to form a band after a series of chance encounters reunites her with the "beat of the stars" sensation she first experienced as a kid.[2]

Volume 1[]

Kasumi Toyama has always been captivated by the "beat of the stars". Since then, she's been searching for something... a spark that'll excite and thrill her! Following a trail of star-shaped stickers, she soon stumbles upon a Random Star guitar at her school mate's house! Could this mark the start of something amazing? A sparkling, heart-racing high school life begins for Kasumi as she decides to form a band![3]

Volume 2[]

Just when Kasumi thought she was all set with a bassist, Rimi gets cold feet and flees the scene! What secret is troubling her, and will Kasumi find a way to bring her back? Then, a chance encounter with a reticent beauty sends Kasumi on a wondrous journey of discovery. Guitar playing aside, she's about to gain an important lesson on friendship and life![4]

Volume 3[]

Nothing can stop Kasumi's overflowing enthusiasm... or is there? Otae challenges Kasumi to "make her heart flutter", or she can forget about ever playing at the Live House SPACE! Also, the cultural festival is approaching, and Kasumi is determined to play an original song with the girls! But it's not just the challenge to write a new piece – can she even convince everyone to perform with her?![5]

Volume 4[]

Having charmed her way into the hearts of Rimi, Otae and (secretly) Arisa, Kasumi is now bursting with anticipation for their live concert! As fate would have it, the girls cross paths with a schoolmate at the music store, who has a stunning revelation for them! The final member of Poppin'Party is about to take the stage, but only if she finds the courage to let go of her past. Dont miss the thrilling, sparkling finale of PoPiPa's origin story![6]
