- The episode's name, "Fluctuat nec mergitur." is a Latin phrase, meaning "It fluctuates and does not sink". This idiom is an old motto of Paris, once created by its Latin-speaking dockers and sailors. It means "We are constantly faced with difficulties, but they cannot destroy us.."[1]
- According to Kakimoto Koudai, the anime's director, the members of Ave Mujica, unlike MyGO!!!!!, are not solving their problems in the series finale and are in fact only at the metaphorical halfway point for a moment of the announced sequel.[2]
