- The episode's name, "Per aspera ad astra." is one of the most famous Latin phrases, meaning "Through adversities, to the stars". In its current form, the idiom was popularized by Virgil as a call to strive for triumph through overcoming difficulties after he somewhat modernized Seneca's original quote about the difficulty of the path to success.[1]
- The title was initially misspelled "asprera", but this was corrected for the BD release.
