Kanemoto Hisako (金元 寿子) was born on December 16, 1987 in Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan[1]. She is the voice actress of Hazawa Tsugumi in BanG Dream! She is affiliated with Production Baobab, and her musical activities are signed under Victor Entertainment.

Background[]

Hisako attended Kamogata High School, and then went on to enroll into voice acting at the Vocational School of Art College Kobe. After completing her education in 2008, she moved to Tokyo and joined the training office associated with Production Baobab agency.

She made her anime debut by voicing Edogawa Miku in Sora no Manimani, but performed her first roles under the pseudonym Juri Aikawa (相川 寿里). She later on went to perform future roles under her real name. Hisako also made her debut as a solo musical artist in 2014 under Victor Entertainment with the album "Fantastic Voyage".

She has also voiced a number of mascot characters from Okayama Prefecture because of her origin.

On March 5, 2011, Hisako won the award for Best Rookie Actress in the 5th Annual Seiyuu Awards.

She was the co-host of BanG Dream! Garupa Presents Afterglow's Sunset STUDIO together with Misawa Sachika.

In summer 2018, she entered a hiatus in order to study foreign languages in Beijing. She returned back to Japan in March 1, 2019, and continued her activities.

Personality & Hobbies[]

Hisako's hobbies includes watching movies, making bread and listening to music. She is also skilled at both basketball and volleyball.

Hisako admires Kobayashi Sanae, and her admiration for the latter's role of Touyama Akira in Hikaru no Go is what drived Hisako to become a voice actress.[2] Her favorite game series are Metal Gear and Tenchuu.[3]
