Kurosawa Tomoyo (黒沢 ともよ) was born on April 10, 1996 in Chichibu, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. She is the voice actress of Okusawa Misaki. She is affiliated with Toho Entertainment.

Her real name is 黒沢 朋世 (same name and reading, but with different kanji).[1]

Background[]

Tomoyo began studying acting at the age of 3. In 2000, she began appearing in TV dramas, commercials and stage performances, got her first drama role as Ichihime in the NHK historical drama Aoi Tokugawa Sandai. She debuted as a stage actress in 2003, and then as a musical actress in 2005.

In 2008, she became a support member of Sound Horizon. She appeared in their PVs and live performances as a motion actor. She was also one of the support vocalists and choir members in their 7th CD, Märchen, which was released on December 15, 2010.

Tomoyo debuted as a voice actress in 2010 with the role of Natsuki Koyama in the movie Welcome to the Space Show. In 2012, she switched agencies from Space Craft to Mausu Production. On August 1, 2021, she announced that she was transferred to Toho Entertainment.[2]

On March 3, 2018, Tomoyo won the award for Best Lead Actress in the 12th Seiyuu Awards.

Tomoyo started attending Hosei University in 2015. Shen then graduated from said university in 2019.[3]

On June 8, 2023, Tomoyo announced her marriage on her Twitter.[4]

Personality & Hobbies[]

She is skilled at jazz dancing, tap dancing and playing the guitar. In high school, she was part of her school's light music club as well as the home economics club. Her hobbies include cooking and going to theater.

Health Issues[]

On October 8, 2020, Tomoyo tested positive for COVID-19.[5] She got discharged from the hospital on October 19, 2020.[6]
