Misawa Sachika (三澤 紗千香) was born on January 13, 1993 in Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. She is the voice actress of Aoba Moca. She is currently a freelancer, while her singing activities are signed under the Universal Music Japan label.

Background[]

Sachika's voice acting career began after winning the "KADOKAWA×UP-FRONT STYLE Idol Seiyuu Audition 2008" competition in February 2009 when she was 16, and then debuted by voicing Gamagori Yuri in the anime Shangri-La. She became affiliated with Style Cube, until her contract with them ended on February 8, 2015; she then became affiliated with Space Craft Entertainment. On December 30, 2020, Sachika left Space Craft Entertainment and became a freelancer[1] before announcing on April 1, 2021 that she had joined Stardust Promotion.[2] On March 15, 2023, Sachika announced that she will be leaving Stardust Promotion on March 31, 2023 in order to become a freelancer again.[3]

She debuted as a singer with the single "Unite"; the title song was used as the second ending theme for the anime Accel World. She released her first album "Polaris" on February 20, 2013. She used to be signed under the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Japan label, before she made her new major debut with Universal Music Japan on April 29, 2020 with the single "Kono Te wa".[4]

Sachika was both the main host of BanG Dream! Garupa Radio with Afterglow, and also the co-host of BanG Dream! Garupa Presents Afterglow's Sunset STUDIO together with Kanemoto Hisako.

She is also the voice provider of the Song Voice CeVIO AI Futaba Minato, which was released on December 2, 2022.[5]

Sachika graduated from high school in March 2011, and entered a university a month later. She then graduated from said university on March 20, 2016.[6]

Personality & Hobbies[]

Sachika's hobbies include choral singing, watching comedy shows, poetry, playing electric guitar and ego searching. One of her special skills is typing, and she is also known for her radio hosting abilities. Her favorite anime are Mobile Suit Gundam 00 and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Sachika is very good friends with Uesaka Sumire, whom she has called "my waifu", and good friends with Ohashi Ayaka.[7] She admires both Sakamoto Maaya and Tamura Yukari[8] as well as Hello! Project member Miyamoto Karin[9] and ex-member Tsugunaga Momoko.

She used to run a YouTube channel 三澤のさっちゃんねる which has been shut down as she left Space Craft Entertainment.

She owns two cats, Kyon and Myu, despite having a cat allergy.

Health Issues[]

On June 10, 2022, her agency announced that she will be taking a break from all activities due to unspecified but persistent health issues.[10] On August 24, 2022, it was announced that she is resuming her activities.[11] On November 10, 2022, after a series of now deleted tweets, Sachika's agency announced that she is not feeling well and will be taking a break from all of her social media accounts.[12] She soon resumed her activities.

On April 17, 2023, Sachika posted a (now-deleted) Instagram post where she mentioned "her fighting daily against her inferiority complex" and "her life constantly being a battle against despair and hope", most likely alluding to her previous tweets and posts as well where she had implied she is not feeling mentally well. In her YouTube channel's description, she also mentions that her "health is not at its best."

  • She had an official fanclub called Seeker, which however was announced to be closed on March 31, 2023.[13] She also used to have another fan club called "Sachi Cafe" which was opened on January 13, 2020 and ceased its activities after she left Space Craft Entertainment.
  • On November 23, 2017, Sachika was appointed as one of the main ambassadors for her home prefecture, Yamanashi Prefecture.
  • She played guitar during the BanG Dream! 7th☆LIVE, playing a Schecter BH-1, the same as Moca.[14]
