Nakamachi Arale is the leader of and vocalist for Mugendai Mewtype.

Her debut stream was held on November 19, 2023.

Description[]

"Let's create a new world... together with everyone!"[2]

A 16-year-old high school student. A huge fan of anime and manga, Arale is the life of the party, but her emotional fragility often brings her to the verge of tears.[3]

Profile[]

Arale is a very energetic person. Her all-time favorite anime are Zero no Tsukaima, Fairy Tail, and Angel Beats!. In addition to her otaku interests, Arale loves singing and talking about it. Her favorite foods are spicy things (especially spicy ramen), white rice, omurice and yakisoba pan. She dislikes horror games and can't stand horror at all.[1][4]

Arale's favorite music genres are anison and electro swing. She also loves listening to Hello, Happy World!'s music.[5]

She was part of the "go-home club" when she was younger. The sports Arale is good at are shot putting, handball and table tennis.[5]

Arale likes juice and juice boxes a lot. Arale often drinks fruit smoothies, and has mentioned that everyone in her family likes them. She also likes to make them in order to "suppress her cravings for sweet things" when she is worried about her weight.[6]

In addition to her other streams, she also holds a monthly radio show titled Ararara Radio (あららららじお).

Appearance[]

Arale appears as a girl of average height with long blonde hair that's tied into two pigtails; her left one being blue at the end and the right being red. Her hair also features slightly side swept bangs adorned with various clips. She also has pink eyes and is wearing a glowing yellow and black headpiece shaped like cat ears.

Her attire is generally shown to be mismatched, such as her default attire consisting of a white, sleeveless button-up crop top with an open chest cavity, adorned with a small black tie, a long fingerless black glove on her left arm, and round pink and blue wristbands on both wrists. Her lower attire consists of a high waisted yellow poofy skirt with various patterns on it, which also appears to have a built in corset along with a black ribbon on the back that reaches down to around her knees. For legwear, she wears a white thigh-high on her left leg and a red one that goes to about a little under her knee on the right, both being overlayed with baggy yellow socks. For footwear she wears all-white sneakers.

In commemoration of her 1st anniversary, Arale debuted a new outfit.

Etymology[]

Nakamachi (仲町): Naka (仲) means "close" and Machi (町) means "town".

Arale (あられ), depending on the kanji used, can mean "hail" or "dicing; small cubes." It is also a type of rice cracker.

Trivia[]

  • Arale refers to herself using the pronoun "boku", which makes her the 3rd character in the series to not refer to herself using "watashi", "atashi", or in the third-person. (The first and second being Yamato Maya and Togawa Sakiko, who use "jibun" and "watakushi" respectively.)
    • Her using "boku" also makes her the first character to refer to herself using a typically masculine first-person pronoun, as all other characters use feminine or gender-neutral pronouns.
  • She is the same height as Mashiro, and she and Mashiro are tied for being the shortest of the main vocalists.
  • Arale's symbols/emojis are 📢🌟.
  • Arale is currently the only vocalist in the franchise to be credited for song production (she was the co-lyricist for Kohaku, as well as the main lyricist for Gradient).
