Kokoro: Misaki~! Over here~!
Misaki: Okay, okay, I can hear you from here, no need to shout.
Kokoro: Happy new year, Misaki! Here's to another happy year!
Misaki: Yeah, happy new year. Another year indeed.
Misaki: I have to say... You really went all out this year, huh Kokoro?
Kokoro: Of course! I always go all out for everything and anything!
Misaki: Uh, I wasn't talking about your mindset... I meant your kimono.
Kokoro: Oh! I said I wanted to visit a shrine on New Years day, so the people in the black suits dressed me up!
Misaki: Ahh, makes sense...
Kokoro: Kimonos are really lovely, aren't they? We should get Michelle to wear one sometime! I'm sure it will look really good on her!
Misaki: I-I'm not entirely sure about that...
Kokoro: Oh, that's right! Misaki! I had an amazingly mysterious dream!
Misaki: Ahh, the first dream of the year thing? What was it about?
Kokoro: I dreamed about everyone in Hello, Happy World! climbing Mt. Fuji together, getting on the back of a hawk and then flying around the world showering everyone with eggplants!
Kokoro: I wonder why I dreamed of something like that. It was really fascinating!
Misaki: Hey, that's way more than just fascinating! Honestly, I'm surprised there are even people who have dreams like that...
Kokoro: Really? Anyway, it was really fun, so I think we should try it sometime!
Misaki: Uh, yeah, sure, we'll consider it. Well, why don't we head to the shrine now?

Shrine - Entry Path

Misaki: I thought there'd be less people since it's so cold, but... man, I sure was wrong...
Kokoro: Yeah! There's almost as many people here as there was at our party!
Misaki: Just how big do the parties at the Tsurumaki residence get...?
Kokoro: Oh! Ako and Rinko are over there! Let's go!
Ako: Ah, it's Kokoro and Misaki~! Happy New Year~!
Rinko: Happy... New Year...
Kokoro: You too, Ako, Rinko! Your kimonos are so cute!
Ako: Heh heh heh, they totally are, right~? My big sis helped me pick mine!
Rinko: M-my kimono... really isn't anything... special...
Ako: Ohh, stop saying that Rin-rin~! I've been telling you that you look cute all day~!
Rinko: Th-that's not... I mean, it's embarrassing, so...
Kokoro: Why do you feel embarrassed? Your kimono looks wonderful on you, Rinko!
Rinko: Ah... u-umm... thank you...
Misaki: Are you two about to head inot the shrine?
Rinko: Oh, yes... Ako-chan and I... decided that we'd... go together...
Ako: Yeah, and also because my sister is working as a shrine maiden this year!
Misaki: Oh, Udagawa-san is a shrine maiden? That's kind of surprising...
Kokoro: I'm sure she'll look wonderful! I want to see her too!
Kokoro: I know! We're all here, so why don't we visit the shrine together?
Ako: Yay, that sounds fun! I'm in!
Misaki: I don't mind, but... will you be okay, Rinko-senpai? I have a feeling that things are going to get pretty lively since Kokoro is here...
Rinko: I-I'll be... okay... Ako-chan... already looks happy, after all...
Kokoro: Okay, then we're decided! Yeah! I'm already getting excited!

Eve: Thank you for your time! Phew...
Maya: There's a lot of people here, so it's hard work trying to interview them all! But, we have to keep at it!
Maya: We've heard about lots of peoples' New Years resolutions, but how about you, Eve-san? Do you have one?
Eve: I have many! First of all, I want to meet more people than I did last year, and become better friends with everyone.
Eve: I also want to learn more about Japanese culture, master bushido, and becoume a proud samurai... Ohh, I have too many things to tell you!
Maya: Ahaha~, that's so like you, Eve-san! I think they are wonderful ideas! I hope you can achieve them!
Eve: I'll do my best! Daily devotion!
Eve: Oh, the staff are calling us... I wonder what is going on.
Maya: It seems like there's something happening over there and they want us to interview someone... Let's get moving!

Kokoro: Okay, next I'll do a backflip! Watch carefully, everyone!
Ako: Wow~! Kokoro's amazing!
Misaki: Ugh, c'mon... Cut it out before you break something.
Maya: I-is that...?
Eve: It's Kokoro-san and the others! It's amazing she can move like that in a kimono! I wonder if I'll be able to do that when I master bushido!
Maya: Th-that might be harder than you think...
Maya: So that's who we have to interview...! It's going to be hard just pushing through that crowd...
Eve: But I am sure Kokoro-san and the others will have some great New Years resolutions for us! Let's go, Maya-san!

Ako: Yeah! They weere super amazing~!
Rinko: M-my heart was racing... just watching you...
Misaki: Jeez... Could you not do that? It's stressful just watching you... And look at all the people who have gathered around us.
Maya: E-excuse me~! Can we borrow you for a minute?
Kokoro: Oh, it's Maya and Eve! Happy New Year! Are you here to visit the shrine as well?
Eve: Happy New Year, everyone! We are here today for work to interview people.
Kokoro: You're interviewing people? That sounds really interesting! You can ask me anything you like!
Eve: Really?! Okay, in that case, please tell us your New year's resolution!
Kokoro: My resolution is to make the whole world smile!
Eve: The whole world?Kokoro-san, what an enormous resolution! I think that's wonderful!
Ako: I want to become an awesome drummer like my si- Uh, I mean!
Ako: Umm... I wanna... rule the abyss and... be like boom and... be a cool drummer!
Maya: Nice! I admire cool drummers too!
Eve: What is your resolution, Misaki-san?
Misaki: Mmm, my resolution... I just want this year to be a peaceful and quiet one.
Misaki: Mind you, I'm prepared for none of that to happen with Kokoro and the others around...
Maya: I-I hope it turns out to be a peaceful year for you...!
Maya: Okay, last up is Shirokane-san! Please tell us about your New Years resolution!
Rinko: Uh... umm... I, um... would like... to be... a little more... proactive...
Ako: Rin-rin! We'll work on it together!
Rinko: Ako-chan... thanks...
Eve: What lovely resolutions! Thank you for sharing them with us, everyone!
Misaki: Oh, you're more than welcome. Do the two of you still have more work to do?
Maya: That's it for the morning! We'll be taking a break until we start on our afternoon footage.
Eve: We were thinking about visiting the shrine while we are on out break.
Ako: Really? You guys should come with us then!
Kokoro: Nice idea, Ako! I was just thinking the same thing!
Eve: Wow, that sounds fun! We would love to go with you!
Maya: Eve-san, let's go tell the staff about what we're planning to do first. We're technically still working, after all.
Eve: Yes, you're right! We'll be back soon, everyone!

Ten Minutes Later

Array: Thanks for waiting!
Kokoro: You're ready! That means everyone is here!
Misaki: We were just talking about getting some fortune slips before heading into the shrine itself.
Ako: My sister is at the place that sells the fortune slips right now~!
Maya: Oh, she is? In that case, let's go there first!

Shrine - Fortune Slip Shop

Ako: Ah! There she is~! Sis~!
Tomoe: Yo, Ako! And... a lot of other people too! Happy New Year, everyone!
Eve: You're a shrine maiden, Tomoe-san! You look lovely!
Tomoe: Haha, thanks. Some of the people from downtown asked me to help out, so I'm just filling in... uh, assisting, I mean.
Kokoro: Happy New Year, Tomoe! I want to draw a lucky ticket!
Tomoe: Ahaha, you've been looking forward to this huh? I guess the fortune slips here do have a rep for being spot on.
Tomoe: Okay, please take one from here.

Kokoro: I'll take this one! ... Oh, I got "great fortune"!
Misaki: Honestly, I'd be more surprised if she got anything but great fortune after that dream she had...
Ako: Wow, Kokoro! Okay, I'm up next~!
Ako: I think I'll choose this one... Hrm, but this one might be good too...
Ako: Ugh~, I'm getting nervous now! What should I do, Rin-rin~?
Rinko: I-in that case... why don't we choose... at the same time...?
Ako: Really?! Okay, let's do it, Rin-rin! On three~!
Rinko: O-okay... One, two...
Ako: Ah...! Yay~!
Ako: I got great fortune~! What about you, Rin-rin? What'd you get?!
Rinko: Oh, I got... great fortune as well... We're so lucky, Ako-chan...
Eve: Congratulations, everyone! Okay, I'll go next!
Eve: Hmm... This one! Hi-yah!
Eve: ... Oh...
Maya: E-Eve-san? What's the matter?
Eve: G-great misfortune...
Eve: O-oh no... Great misfortune is the worst type, isn't it...?
Maya: ... W-well, it just means that it can't get any worse! Things will only get better! Don't worry!
Misaki: And besides, fortune slips are really just superstition anyway.
Eve: B-but... Tomoe-san said that the fortune slips here are often right...
Tomoe: C'mon, it's not like those things are ever right! You've got nothing to worry about!
Maya: Th-that's not what you said before! Wait, is a shrine maiden even allowed to say something like that?!
Eve: Aww... I'm starting to get worried...

Eve: I'm sorry... It's all my fault for drawing the great misfortune... And now Maya-san and Misaki-san are trying to help me feel better about it...
Maya: Oh, don't be like that! There's absolutely nothing for you to be sorry about! It doesn't matter either way to me!
Misaki: I never really believed in fortune slips to begin with either, so it's fine.
Eve: That's a relief to hear, but... great misfortune... Aww...
Rinko: U-umm... Why don't you... read more of what's written on it... There might be... something useful there...
Ako: Rin-rin, nice idea! C'mon, let's take a look!
Eve: Y-you're right...! Umm... "Trials and tribulations"... "Difficulty on the horizon"... What...?
Maya: Th-that sounds like all kinds of things are going happen this year...
Rinko: I-I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said anything...
Eve: I-it's okay! There's nothing for you to apologize about, Rinko-san!
Ako: But, Eve... maybe you should just take it easy this year...
Kokoro: Why is everyone getting so worried? This sounds really exciting!
Misaki: Gimme a break. Your fortune slip is clearly the better one...
Kokoro: Really? I think Eve's is more exciting than mine! Lots of things are going to happen in Eve's life this year. That sounds like so much fun!
Misaki: True, I guess "Peace Without Problems" or "Smooth Sailing" just doesn't sound like Kokoro...
Ako: If only Eve and Kokoro's fortune slips were the other way round...
Kokoro: That's true! Okay, let's switch!
Maya: Wait, that defeats the point of the fortune slip!
Kokoro: Really? That's a shame!
Kokoro: Okay, how about this? I'll just go everywhere with Eve!
Kokoro: That way I can share all the fun and exciting things that happen to her!
Eve: I-is that how it is supposed to work...?
Misaki: Kokoro has already decided that everything that could possibly happen will be fun...
Kokoro: Okay, let's head into the shrine! I can't wait to see what happens!
Ako: O-oh, that's right! We were gonna visit the shrine! The fortune slip thing took over for while and I forgot why we were here~!
Maya: True, let's pray at the shrine so that the great misfortune doesn't turn out to be great at all!
Eve: G-good idea!
Eve: ... Kya!
Eve: Oww... I-I'm sorry... I tripped over...
Maya: A-are you okay, Eve-san? You're not hurt are you?
Eve: I-I'm fine! But, my zori sandals...
Rinko: Ah... the strap broke... I can fix it... Please sit down over here...
Eve: Thank you so much, Rinko-san!
Eve: But... I wonder why it suddenly broke like that...?
Eve: ... Ah! C-could it be...
Eve: This is because of my fortune slip...?
Ako: I-is this the curse of great misfortune...?
Rinko: A-Ako-chan... don't say scary things...
Ako: S-sorry!
Misaki: Come on, you guys are overthinking this.
Maya: That's right, Eve-san! I'm sure it's just a coincidence!
Rinko: Those straps... always break easily... I don't think it's... anything to worry about...
Eve: Thank you, but... I think this is the curse of great misfortune...
Eve: I'm sure it's a sign of the days of pain and suffering that await me...

Maya: Wow~, look at the line...! Eve-san, make sure you stay close...
Eve: Ohh...
Maya: ... Eve-san?
Eve: ... Y-yes?! What is it?
Maya: Are you still bothered by what happened just before?
Eve: Yes... When I think about what will happen next because of the curse of great misfortune...
Maya: I'm sure everything will be okay! Sickness starts in the mind, as they say! Try not to think about it too much!
Eve: You're right... I'm sorry for making you worry...
Maya: It's okay! Anyway, we should go and join the line...
Maya: Oh! I-I'm sorry...
Misaki: ...? Yamato-san, is everything okay?
Maya: I-it's nothing... I bumped into someone... and one of my contact lenses came out...
Ako: What? That's serious! We have to look for it!
Rinko: But... finding it in a crowd like this...
Eve: Oh no... I'm sorry, Maya-san!
Maya: Wh-why are you apologizing, Eve-san?
Eve: My great misfortune must have spread to you because you were next to me...
Maya: You know that's not possible! The fortune slip has nothing to do with it! I just wasn't paying enough attention, that's all.
Maya: And besides, I have plenty more contact lenses at home, so don't worry about it!
Eve: Hrm...
Misaki: ... B-by the way, Eve-san. Do you know the procedure for praying on New Years Day?
Eve: N-no... In my period dramas, I've seen what the warriors do, but...
Ako: In that case, let me tell you what to do! First up, you... umm, how'd it go again, Rin-rin?
Rinko: U-umm, well... First you purify your hands and mouth with water...
Maya: And then you stand in front of the altar and ring the bell. One time is enough.
Eve: I see... If we ring it too many times, it'll be noisy for the gods!
Ako: After that you bow twice, then clap your hands twice, and bow one more time, right...?
Misaki: That's right, two bows, two claps, one more bow.
Eve: I see... I've got it! Thank you very much!

Kokoro: It's almost our turn!
Rinko: We need to... get our offerings ready...
Ako: Eve, do you know about the offerings?
Eve: Yes, of course! I have my coins here... H-huh?
Maya: What's the matter, Eve-san?
Eve: I thought I had my pouch, but... I can't find it...
Rinko: P-perhaps you... dropped it somewhere...
Misaki: You still had it up until when you got your fortune slip, right?
Ako: Ah... maybe you just left it at the shop?
Eve: Th-that might be possible... What should I do...? It contained some important things...
Maya: If we hurry, it might still be where you left it! Let's go and get it!

Shrine - Fortune Slip Shop

Tomoe: Huh? Have you guys already prayed at the shrine? I thought the line was pretty long...
Ako: No, but that doesn't matter right now, sis! Have you seen a pouch around here?!
Tomoe: No, can't say that I have... Did someone lose it?
Ako: Yeah, Eve...
Tomoe: Okay, there's a possibility it's been delivered to the office here at the shrine. I'll give them a quick call and ask.
Eve: Th-thank you very much...!
Misaki: I hope it's there...
Tomoe: Sorry, it hasn't been handed in. I asked them to keep their eyes out for it though. I hope it turns up soon, Eve.
Eve: Thank you, Tomoe-san... It seems the effects of the fortune slip are true...
Maya: Eve-san...
Kokoro: Eve, let's go look for it! Time for a treasure hunt, everyone!
Misaki: Treasure hunt...? This isn't fun and games, you know...?
Misaki: ... But having said that, we won't get anything done just by standing here, so I agree with the idea of everyone searching for it.
Ako: Yeah, I'll help too! Now is my chance to... do... something with my powers and find the one true treasure!
Rinko: I-I'll help too... Let's work together, Ako-chan...!
Maya: Okay, let's split up and beginm our search! Okusawa-san and I will search the path to the shrine!
Kokoro: Eve and I will look over there! Let's go, Eve!
Maya: If we all join the search, I'm sure we'll be able to find it! Eve-san!
Eve: Aww... Thank you, everyone...

Kokoro: How's it going, Eve? Have you found any clues?
Eve: No... nothing...
Kokoro: {{{2}}}
Kokoro: ... Oh? There's lots of people over there!
Eve: It seems there's something going on... I can hear something like a chant...
Kokoro: That sounds fun! Let's go take a look, Eve!
Eve: Ah, Kokoro-san...! Wait for me~!

Shrine - Courtyard

Kokoro: I see, they're making mochi over here.
Eve: *huff*... *puff*... Kokoro-san, how can you run that fast in a kimono...?!
Kokoro: ... I've got it! Eve, let's ask the people here about your pouch.
Eve: Yes, it's possible they might know something...! Umm, excuse me! Have you seen a missing pouch anywhere?
Parishioner: Nope, can't say I have... You didn't drop it, did you?
Eve: Actually... I did...
Parishioner: I see... I'll ask the others if they know anything, so why don't you give making mochi a try in the meantime?
Eve: Huh?! I-I... I'm sorry, I've never done this before...
Parishioner: Ahaha, don't worry about it. Making mochi brings good luck. If you give it a try, something good might happen.
Eve: B-but...
Kokoro: Why not? Let's try it, Eve! This looks really fun!

Kokoro: Hi-yah!
Eve: You really can hear the sound of the mochi flattening when you hit it!
Kokoro: Look! The mochi stretches thiiis much! This is so fun! Give it a try, Eve!
Eve: Okay! Wow... The hammer is heavier than I thought...
Eve: ... Kya!
Eve: I-I accidentally hit it with all my might... This is a little tricky, isn't it...?
Kokoro: Smile, Eve, smile! Let's have fun making mochi so that we can find your pouch!
Eve: O-okay! Smiling brings good fortune, as they say!
Eve: (S-smile... I have to smile...! But I just can't stop thinking about my pouch...)
Kokoro: Eve~! Smile~!
Eve: O-okay~!

Eve: Phew... Making mochi... was really hard work...
Kokoro: Yeah, but also so much fun!
Eve: Y-yes... I guess it was fun, but... we still couldn't find my pouch in the end...
Kokoro: Oh, it looks like something is going to happen over there! Lots of people are gathering! They look like they're having fun! Let's go!
Eve: K-Kokoro-san...?! W-wait...! What about my pouch...?
Eve: She's gone... Everyone does seem to be having lots of fun over there, but I'm not in that kind of mood right now...
Eve: ... Ah! Could it be that Kokoro-san is trying to take me somewhere happy to make me smile so that good fortune comes my way...?
Eve: ... I-I see. I have no choice but to leave myself in Kokoro-san's hands! K-Kokoro-san, wait for me!

Shrine - Kite Area

Kokoro: Oh, they're going to fly the kites here!
Eve: Wew, this is amazing! I've never seen such big kites before...! Can kites of this size really fly through the sky?
Kokoro: I've got it! I just had a great idea!
Eve: Wh-what is it, Kokoro-san? Please tell me!
Kokoro: If we ride the kite up into the sky and search from there, we'll definitely be able to find your pouch!
Eve: Wh-what a wonderful idea...! I've seen ninjas do the same thing in period dramas when they need to see what's inside a castle!
Kokoro: Okay, I'll go ask if we can do it!

Eve: They said no... I thought it was a great idea...
Kokoro: There's nothing to be disappointed about! They said we can take part in the kite flying show, didn't they? I'm sure it'll be fun!
Eve: But... we still haven't found my pouch... I'm not sure I should be...
Kokoro: Flying a kite will put a smile on your face, Eve! We're allowed to draw our own pictures on the kites too! It's lovely!
Kokoro: ... That's it, Eve! I just thought of something really good! This time we'll definitely find your pouch!
Kokoro: And... there! It's ready! Eve, let's fly this kite and find your pouch!
Eve: ... Will we really be able to find my pouch by flying this in the sky...? I-I understand. I'll believe in you and give it a try, Kokoro-san!
Eve: Okay, I hold the string like this and pull it when the wind blows...
Eve: ... Now!
Kokoro: That was great, Eve! It's hard to believe it's your first time!
Eve: Th-thank you!
Eve: By the way, Kokoro-san... What did you draw on the kite...?
Eve: ... "Lost"...? Oh! It's a picture of a pouch! Did you draw that for me?
Kokoro: That's right! I thought that if someone finds your pouch, they'll know that we are looking for it!
Eve: Kokoro-san... that's amazing! What a wonderful idea!
Kokoro: Let's fly our kite as high as we can so that more and more people can see it!
Eve: ... Okay!
Kokoro: That's lovely smile, Eve! I'm sure we'll find it now!

Maya: Ah, Eve-san! Did you find your pouch?
Eve: Kokoro-san helped me look, but... unfortunately, we couldn't find it...
Maya: I see... We didn't find it either...
Misaki: I hope this just means that someone has already picked it up...
Maya: We still have time, so why don't we keep searching a little longer?
Eve: ... I guess it must be gone by now...
Kokoro: Eve, why are you feeling down? We're definitely going to find your pouch! We flew the kite, after all!
Eve: K-Kokoro-san... Y-you're right... thank you!
Ako: S-sorry we're late~!
Misaki: Ah, did you and Rinko-senpai have any luck? Did y-...
Misaki: ... Wait, what's with all that stuff...?
Eve: Are those... luck charms?
Ako: We bought them at that shop over there! They're super strong lucky charms! We even got a hamaya arrow and a kumade rake!
Rimi: W-we were hoping that... these would help... expel the great misfortune...
Ako: Yeah, sorry, Eve... We couldn't find your pouch either...
Ako: But don't worry, we bought the most powerful charms they had!
Eve: I see...! Thank you, both of you...!
Tomoe: ... Ah, there you! Hey~!
Ako: Sis! Wh-what's going on?!
Tomoe: I just got a call from someone at the shrine office! A pouch just turned up!
Eve: R-really...?!
Tomoe: It seems like it matches the details you gave me, but we'll still need you to come in and take a look at it.
Tomoe: Could you guys come with me to the office?
Eve: Y-yes! O-of course...!
Maya: I really hope it's Eve-san's! We'll come with you too!
Tomoe: Sure thing. Okay then, would you mind following me? We'll go through here.
Misaki: Huh? That's the main hall of the shrine... Are we allowed to go through there?
Tomoe: Normally only authorized people are allowed in here. It's the quickest way to get to the office, so I got permission for us on my way over.
Ako: Oh, wow! You're so cool, sis!

Shrine - Main Hall

Eve: ... Th-this is amazing! So this is what a shrine is like on the inside...! This is the height of Japanese culture!
Maya: This is a first for me as well... Everything outside sounds so far away. It feels so solemn in here...
Tomoe: This area is something that people don't get to see. This is quite the special experience. I only saw it for the first time myself when I started working as an assistant here.
Kokoro: Hey, Misaki! Where do you think this leads to? I'm so curious!
Misaki: Kokoro...! We're getting special treatment being able to come through here like this, so behave...
Ako: The dark power that dwells within me... umm... I think it's getting stronger and stronger!
Rimi: A-Ako-chan... this is a shrine, so... if anything, it's probably... holy power in here...
Ako: Oh...! So this means I get dark power and holy power, right?! That's like a high-tier class!
Rimi: A-Ako-chan... we should hurry... The others have already left...

Shrine - Office

Tomoe: This is the office. I'll go tell them you're here, so just chill here for a minute, okay?
Eve: O-okay!
Tomoe: This is the pouch that was handed in... Well?
Eve: ...!
Eve: ... Th-that's it!
Maya: R-really?!
Eve: Yes... I'm sure of it! This is my pouch!
Eve: I-I thought... I would never find it...
Tomoe: It seems that the person who found it saw your kite and handed the pouch over to the parishioner near the area where they were making mochi.
Eve: ... Th-that's amazing! Those are both the places I searched with Kokoro-san!
Kokoro: This is because your smile was lovely, Eve! Smiles really attract lots of things! People, happiness, and pouches too!
Eve: Smiles... Kokoro-san, thank you so much!
Ako: I'm so glad it turned up! It's such a relief, huh Eve?
Eve: Everyone... Thank you so much...!
Rimi: Is everything... still inside it...? You said it contained... something important...
Eve: Yes, it's okay! They're all there!
Maya: Oh, are those... the special things you were talking about...?
Eve: The New Years Cards I got from the members of Pastel✽Palettes and all my other friends!
Eve: I was so happy that I just had to bring them with me...
Eve: That's why I'm truly so glad that they found their way back to me...!
Kokoro: Eve's smile is even lovelier than it was before! How nice!

Kokoro: The treasure hunt was so much fun today!
Misaki: You had the time of your life, huh Kokoro...? But in any case, it's great the pouch turned up.
Eve: Yes! I will hold it tightly so that I never lose it again!
Maya: Eve-san lost her pouch. Tsurumaki-san was the reason we found the pouch. I guess this means the fortune slips really do have some kind of power.
Misaki: True... I didn't really believe in that kind of thing, but I almost feel like my opinion is about to change.
Eve: The good-luck charms were really powerful too! I think this shrine is a real place of power...
Maya: Now that you mention it, we learned that someone had found the pouch the moment you were given the lucky charms, didn't we?
Eve: Ako-san, Rinko-san... It's all because you bought those charms for me. Thank you so much!
Rinko: I-I'm... glad we could help...
Ako: Yeah! If they've got so much amazing power, we'd better buy some for ourselves too!
Eve: But most of all.. thank you so much for trying so hard to find my pouch, everyone!
Misaki: Wakamiya-san... Kokoro didn't cause any trouble for you, did she...?
Eve: N-no, she did nothing like that! Kokoro-san stayed smiling the whole time, which is why I could stay positive!
Kokoro: That's good to hear! Smiles are what make people happy!
Eve: Also, thanks to Kokoro-san I was able to experience lots of different things!
Kokoro: That's right! Eve and I made mochi and flew a kite! It was really fun!
Misaki: Only hearing that part makes me wonder if she actually searched for the pouch at all...
Eve: Kokoro-san searched with me!
Maya: Flying a kite and making mochi while you searched for your pouch... It kind of feels like you had a really Japanese-kind-of New Years Day...
Maya: ... Hm? Fortune slips, visiting a shrine... Making mochi and flying a kite...
Maya: And topping it off by getting a tour of the main hall of the shrine...
Eve: Maya-san? What is it?
Maya: Eve-san... You said your New Years resolution was to learn more about Japanese culture, right?
Eve: Yes, that's what I said when we were filming! I also said I want to become better friends with everyone... Why do you ask?
Maya: Don't you think that you've already achieved those things in just one day today?
Eve: ... Oh! You might be right! I've already learned lots of things about Japanese culture today!
Maya: And the part about becoming better friends with everyone...
Eve: ... Ah! Th-that might be the case as well!
Misaki: Ahaha. You found your pouch, fulfilled your resolutions... All good things.
Kokoro: It was so much fun spending time with Eve! I want to do it again!
Ako: Me too me too~! Right, Rin-rin~?
Rinko: Y-yes... It was... really fun... spending time with everyone...
Eve: Everyone...! Me too! It was fun being able to talk about so many things together!
Eve: How strange... In just one day... I was able to achieve so many of my resolutions!
Eve: My fortune slip said great misfortune, but it turned out to be a wonderful day!
Eve: Hmm...? Do you think it's possible that my great misfortune is why we could become closer...?
Maya: It's possible... Now that I think about, you wouldn't have experienced any of those things if you hadn't drawn the great misfortune.
Eve: In that case... I'm glad that I had great misfortune!
Misaki: You do realize you're starting to sound like Kokoro, don't you?!
Eve: Yes, spending time with Kokoro-san got me thinking! Anything can be good or bad. It just depends on how you look at it!
Eve: That's why even if you draw great misfortune, you can still have lots of fune as long as you look at it as a way to experience many things!
Kokoro: Nice smile, Eve! That's a lovely way of thinking!
Kokoro: Now that we've finished our treasure hunt, let's go pray at the shrine!
Ako: Yeah! I'm in~!
Eve: Me too! Let's go, everyone!
Eve: ... Kya!
Eve: I-I'm sorry... I tripped over again...
Rinko: Oh, the strap of your zori sandals... broke again..
Ako: Th-the curse of the great misfortune strikes again?!
Eve: ... Huh? I think I just saw something shining on the ground...
Maya: What's the matter, Eve-san?
Eve: Umm... I found this on the ground... Is it... a contact lense...?
Ako: ... Ah! Isn't that the one Maya-san lost earlier?!
Maya: What? Do you think it could be mine? Let me take a quick look...
Maya: It is! This is mine! It's not damaged in any way either! Eve-san, this is amazing!
Eve: Wow...! Is that really yours?!
Eve: I found it because the strap of sandals broke... Is this because of my great misfortune as well...?
Kokoro: It's because of everyone's smiles! Smiling attracts lots of good things! People, happiness, pouches... and contact lenses!
Eve: Fufu! I have a feeling this is going to be a wonderful year!
