Nishio Yuka (西尾 夕香) was born on March 31, 1994 in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. She voices Hiromachi Nanami, and is also Morfonica's bassist. She is currently affiliated with HiBiKi. Her former stage name was HARUCA.

Background[]

Yuka started learning the violin when she was in kindergarten, and in elementary school she was part of an orchestra and participated in competitions. She practiced it for over 10 years before realizing in ninth grade that she likes singing. She then asked and got permission from her mother to quit playing the violin, and started going to karaoke 3-5 times a week.[1]

On October 16, 2016, Yuka (who still went by the name HARUCA) made her major singing debut with the single "Eien no Kotae" under the label Kino Music. The song was used as the ending theme for the anime Seikaisuru Kado. On April 2, 2019, she passed HiBiKi's audition during S Inc., HiBiKi and Ace Crew Entertainment's joint audition, became affiliated with them and changed her stage name to Nishio Yuka.

She debuted as a voice actor by voicing a minor character in the anime Blend S.

Yuka is also known for voicing:

  • Aimoto Rinku in the D4DJ franchise
  • Higashiyama Yuu in Rebirth for you
  • Ellis Maclaine in Shinka no Mi: Shiranai Uchi ni Kachigumi Jinsei
  • Inabe Nao in Cardfight!! Vanguard Divinez

Together with Shindou Amane, she is part of the duo "Oyunesu". She was also the co-host of BanG Dream! Garupa Presents Monica Radio together with Suguta Hina.

Yuka also used to be a radio host for the radio program AniGirl ~Anison Hits Radio~ (アニガール ~アニソンヒッツレディオ~) from April 4, 2016 till March 26, 2018 under the name Nishio Haruka (西尾 晴香).[2]

Personality & Hobbies[]

Yuka's special skills include playing the violin, calligraphy, singing, DJing, horse racing, and playing mahjong and crane games. Her hobbies include playing games, watching anime, handicrafts, doing surprises (especially when buying/making her friends birthday gifts) and concert appreciation. She also likes fishing.[3]

Similarly to Amane, she often posts her gacha rolls for both BanG Dream! Girls Band Party and D4DJ on her Twitter, but tends to have bad luck and often spends a lot of gacha currencies getting the cards she wants (for example, when she did thirty 10-pulls in order to get Birthday Rinku in D4DJ[4]).

Yuka is a big fan of J-Rock and anisongs, and some of her favorite artists are UNISON SQUARE GARDEN, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, Ling Tosite Sigure, Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas, HIGH AND MIGHTY COLOR, and Kami-sama, Boku wa Kizuiteshimatta.[5]

She also owns a pet hedgehog named Tawashi.[6]

Health Issues[]

On April 21, 2022, Yuka tested positive for COVID-19 and a result, had to withdraw from performing during Morfonica Concept Live: Resonance.[7] She announced her recovery on April 29, 2022.[8] On October 20, 2023, it was announced that Yuka tested positive for a new variant of the virus.[9]
