Rinko: ... Wakamiya-san... should be getting out soon... What if... she already left?
Eve: Phew... Another satisfyingly busy day! Ah, if it isn't Rinko-san. Are you headed home?
Rinko: Ah, thank goodness... You're still here... Actually... I was... waiting for you...
Eve: What?! For me?! That makes me so happy!
Rinko: I-if it's not... too much trouble... Would you like to... walk home together?
Eve: It's no trouble at all! Of course I'll walk home with you!
Rinko: O-okay...! Thank you...

Eve: You never wait for me like this... Did something happen?
Rinko: Ah... y-you see... I wanted... to say... thank you...
Eve: Thank... me...? Whatever for?
Rinko: F-for the other day... when I sat in on... your club meetings... Watching you... work so hard... really... m-motivated me...
Rinko: I felt... all these emotions bubbling up... a-and because of that... I could feel myself gaining more and more courage...
Rinko: I wanted to be like you... I wanted to work hard... just like you...
Eve: Rinko-san...
Rinko: S-so... I knew I had to... tell you this... Thank you... for inspiring me...
Eve: S-so much praise and gratitude. Y-you're going to make me blush... I'm just glad I was able to help you out!
Eve: And by the way, the look on your face when you shot that arrow was super cool!
Rinko: N-no... That was thanks to all of you... Thank you... so much.
Eve: You know what? I want to hear more about you and your adventures! How about we go to a café and talk?
Rinko: Huh?! A c-café...?! Uhm... O-okay... Let's go...!
Eve: Alright! Hazawa Coffee, here we come ♪

Hazawa Coffee

Tsugumi: Welcome! Ah, Eve-chan! Rinko-san! Good afternoon. What a surprise seeing you two together.
Eve: We just bumped into each other at the school gate. I invited her to come to the café since I wanted to talk to her.
Rinko: H-hello... Nice to... see you!
Tsugumi: What will you have today, Rinko-san?
Rinko: Ah, th-that's right... I-I need to order... Uhm... I'll have a c-coffee... p-please...
Tsugumi: Okay! One moment!
Eve: Now that I think about it... This is the first time the three of us have ever sat down to chat, isn't it?
Tsugumi: You're right. We see each other often enough, but it's rare for it to be just the three of us.
Rinko: Ah... And what's more...
Tsugumi: Fufu. That's right. The three of us...
Eve: We're all keyboard players!
Tsugumi: Yep. Actually... I've always looked up to you as a performer, Rinko-san. You're so skilled... And you always look so elegant on stage...
Rinko: Huh?! Th-that's... very kind of you... Thank you...
Eve: The tone of your music is so soft... And then at other times, it's very aggressive... You're just so expressive... It's incredibly beautiful!
Eve: What do you pay attention to the most when you're playing?
Rinko: U-uhm, let's see... Keyboards can replicate the sound of... all sorts of instruments... and each of them... have their own traits... like how their sound is produced... and other subtleties...
Rinko: So usually... I listen to different instruments... and try to keep in mind what they sound like... when I play... Things like that...
Tsugumi: That's Rinko-san for you...! I've listened to other keyboard performances, but you're doing other instruments on top of that, huh?
Rinko: I-I've been listening to classical music... since I was little... So that might also help...
Tsugumi: Is that so? Maybe I should give listening to classical music a try...
Eve: So you haven't forgotten about always trying to improve yourself... How admirable!
Rinko: I-I also have something... I want to ask the two of you...
Tsugumi: Huh?! But there's nothing we could teach you about the keyboard!
Eve: She's right! We couldn't possibly give you any advice!
Rinko: N-no! It's not... It's not about the keyboard... I wanted to ask about how... you learn to talk to customers you're only meeting for the first time... That kind of stuff...
Tsugumi: Let's see... It's probably best to start out with basic greetings and responses, like what you see in job manuals. Going straight into conversations with strangers would be pretty hard.
Eve: And don't forget about listening! One of the most important parts of talking is listening!
Rinko: B-basic greetings and responses, like in a manual... I'm not sure I can even do that...
Tsugumi: I suppose just knowing those kinds of phrases doesn't mean much if you don't use them. After all, practice makes perfect!
Eve: Oh! In that case, why don't you try working here part-time with us?
Tsugumi: That's a great idea! Ah, wait... Would that work for you, Rinko-san?
Rinko: ...
Rinko: I-I want to... focus on the band right now, so... I'm sorry.
Rinko: However... I do want to... challenge myself... Maybe sometime... just for one day... I'd like to give it a try.
Tsugumi: ... Of course! Anytime!

Rinko: Ah... BanG Dreamer-san...
Rinko: G-good afternoon... You're working now, right...? You're always so busy...
Rinko: U-uhm... I have a question for you... Is now... okay...?
Rinko: Thank you... U-uhm... Have you ever... joined a club...?
Rinko: Y-you see... After talking to Ako-chan... I visited a few clubs at school...
Rinko: U-uhm... I tried out Tea Ceremony Club, Tennis Club... Kendo Club and Archery Club...
Rinko: Yes... I even visited the sports clubs... It just happened that way...
Rinko: I-I'd never done any of those activities... I was really nervous...
Rinko: What made me the most nervous...? Let's see...
Rinko: I think it was... tennis. I've never been very athletic... so it turned out... just like I thought it would...
Rinko: I even had Hikawa-san and Okusawa-san there to help me... and I still couldn't do... anything right...
Rinko: Something I thought was worth experiencing? Uhm, Tea Ceremony Club was fun... Matsubara-san and Wakamiya-san were good teachers...
Rinko: Watching them make tea... I was able to find my own tempo... and apply what they taught me...
Rinko: I learned a lot from the tea ceremony... However, the club that left the biggest impression was...
Rinko: Archery Club.
Rinko: Hikawa-san told me that they have a way of thinking in archery... They call it "perfect form, perfect shot."
Rinko: That phrase really opened my eyes.
Rinko: ... The meaning? Uhm... If you shoot an arrow correctly... it will always hit its target...
Rinko: In order to do that, you need to... calm your mind and body and... focus only on yourself... That's what Hikawa-san told me...
Rinko: I think that phrase also applies... to Hikawa-san's music...
Rinko: The sound that comes from... focusing only on yourself and... facing yourself head-on... is so stoic and... beautiful...
Rinko: When I told Ako-chan about it... she told Hikawa-san she wanted to try archery too...
Rinko: She said it was because... it sounded cool... Ah, I'm sorry... That was off-topic...
Rinko: Ah... Yes, in the end... I didn't join any clubs...
Rinko: However... I think all of those experiences... changed me... ever so slightly...
Rinko: I certainly don't think... they were a waste of time...
Rinko: Ah, it's time...
Rinko: No. Actually... I decided to enter a piano competition, so I'm here today to prepare for that...
Rinko: If you'll excuse me...
